Unfortunately the outdoor pool was being renovated during our stay which meant that 1. it was closed and 2. there was construction noise during the day.
But that's not the fault of the operators !!!
The sanitary facilities were always clean, but are already... a little outdated. Shower cubicles with curtains are no longer up to date in my opinion.
It would be welcome that the bath and the restaurant reopen, which will happen in the case of the bath.
Surprisingly, we had no problems with mosquitoes although there are plenty of pools.
We would have liked a dog meadow, but you can't have everything.

Great place in the middle of the Oberharz, without hustle and bustle and hectic noises. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years but everything is super clean, that's the most important thing. There is gas and bread rolls on site and a great pizza delivery service. You can start your hike directly from the campsite and the ski slope is also just around the corner. The owners are also very dog-friendly. The caretakers are super nice and helpful. Little by little the place is being modernized and we will certainly come back in late summer, hoping that the outdoor pool will also be ready then, which is in the immediate vicinity.

The campsite is very informal and child-friendly. The little rascals on the great mini playground didn't disturb us old pensioners in our peace and quiet.
The site operators offer a sociable... social program not only at Walpurgis. There are always invitations to a barbecue evening or line dance workshop.
Outdoor pool with children's pool and 50m swimming pool, directly at the campsite, as soon as the renovation work has been completed.
Grocery store, burger corner, local museum and tourist information in the village.

It's super quiet here. The sanitary facilities are always clean. The operator is always helpful. Even if you have a big boat.
