This beautiful and very large campground is located right on the river. Kayaking, hiking, or visiting the castle in town are great ways to spend your free time.
The small, simple snack bar at the campground opens in the afternoon. We enjoyed the food.
Shopping options are available in town. (10 minutes by bike.)

Top location
Campsite in an absolute dream location on the river. Took the bus to the water. Made a campfire right in front of it. Canoe tour is highly recommended. Would love to come back

The amount of sanitation facilities will leave much to be desired if the campground is in high season.

Nice campground with spots to choose between shade and sun. By the river. Beautiful surroundings also for cycling.

It's always great to see, that every year they try to make Zagarkalns campside better! The best thing is that I can rent from them bikes and canoe's and make some trip's around Cesis. They have also an info center where they are very help full. Well, for me it's a place where I alway's can run away from citylife.
