The variety of shops, dining options, and recreational activities.MinusuriNothing.A very nice campgroundThe campground is situated in a very idyllic spot between a small stream and the Rhine. Thanks to the surrounding trees, there’s almost always a shaded spot somewhere—except for two hours a day.
With its boat ramp, the campground theoretically also offers the possibility of launching your own boat.
Although... the beach is a gravel beach, it slopes gently into the Rhine and, in the shallow areas, provides enough protection from the current for small children to play in the water (under supervision).
Even on the tent field, there are enough electrical outlets to provide power to all tents. Two water stations supply all campers with an ample supply of drinking water at all times.
The ground is not very rocky, which makes setting up a tent much easier.
Its proximity to Konstanz (Lake Constance) and Schaffhausen (Rhine Falls) offers many opportunities for day trips.

The covered seating area was a godsend, since it was incredibly hot. The proximity to the river and the pool really made the experience complete. We really enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They even sent me back my lost earring—how nice is that? There are no restaurants in town (yours was closed that day).The best stop on Lake Constance!Two women are cycling around Lake Constance and looking for nice places to stay... that’s the plan. I found you by chance because the location just fit perfectly into our plans. The circus wagons immediately caught my eye online, and I would have loved to book one. Unfortunately, it ended up being “just”... a double room.
We’re both in the hospitality industry ourselves (a hotel manager and a chef) and are excited to see what awaits us.
The welcome was warm. What a pair of wonderful women run this little place and the front desk. Wonderful! It makes arriving a pleasure. Thank you so much! The regional products are great, and the prices are more than fair (unfortunately, we drank too much of the local rosé...)
The room is neither new nor modern—the radio by the bed and the size of the TV made us chuckle. But this room impresses with its size and view, and most importantly: its cleanliness!
There’s absolutely nothing to complain about. We felt right at home. Thank you so much also for the mineral water in the room.
The breakfast, however, was unbeatable.
The lady who greeted us with a smile in the morning gave us a wonderful start to the day. Hold on to this employee as tightly as you can!
No frills with the food… instead, very good bread, great Swiss cheese, and no “factory-made sausage.” You could really taste the quality, and we appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed it (by far the best breakfast of our four stops along the lake).
On the terrace at the neighboring table, local men were enjoying croissants for their mid-morning snack—wonderful and typically Swiss; unfortunately, we had to move on at some point...

For me, it’s the most beautiful place in Switzerland. I love the scenery and the Rhine.

The staff’s absolute friendliness is admirable.
You can also order fresh bread... for the next day.
The on-site restaurant is a great reason to take a break from the campground and offers delicious, well-prepared meals.
They even take sustainability into account.

It has a great washhouse where you can take a nice shower without having to constantly hold down the button. Hot water, nice hosts, friendly staff. Very focused on the guests’ comfort. A bit pricey by German standards, but you... definitely get your money’s worth.
Everything is well-maintained, with electricity and water included and available right at your site. Clean swimming pool (could be open a bit more often and for longer hours). Very quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

It’s located a bit on the outskirts and could be a little closer to Stein am Rhein. However, that shouldn’t be considered a criticism.

There was also a large covered area by the pool with tables and a small kitchen, lots of games and a toilet.
The sanitary facilities are new and well maintained. The Rhine right next to the campsite invites you to swim and linger.
