"Beautiful campsite - We have enjoyed coming here for 20 years, even though, like many other campsites, more and more mobile homes are being built to occupy the best pitches.

"Price-performance absolutely not guaranteed! - Price performance absolutely not guaranteed!!! We had to pay the full amount for our vacation in August already in June. On request by email how it behaves with corona regarding cancellation etc. No answer received! No answer received! Price for pitch which is supposed to be comfort but which is in the last corner of the camping site paid 750 euros per week! Ok we thought 5 stars there you will also get something for your money! If you need info there is only the reception with 2 people because the place is so huge but there are always huge queues of people in front of it! So you don't need to queue there for simple information! At Corona times like now you are also on your own here! No information no help for testing because of the departure to Germany you get a piece of paper in your hand with pharmacies and you can then take care of it yourself! Here I expect support from a 5 star campsite! English is hardly spoken, everything is only in French! ANIMATION etc..no English! But the worst thing is the sanitary facilities, I don't know if they have ever been cleaned properly? Sometimes you see a person walking around with a spray and that's it! Hair hanging everywhere, sometimes for days, doors and washbasins covered in stuff, I don't want to know what it is, the same dirt on doors and taps for days! Male and female not really separated and the top hammer there is no sink and soap in the toilet! You have to wash your hands in the sink for dishes or laundry or go into the cabin but there is no soap there either!!! The rest areas in France have more comfort!!! Sure pool and beach are great! But everything else never and never 5 stars sanitary facilities have no 2 stars !!! Very annoying if you pay 1500 euros for 2 weeks for a poppy pitch even without sat and without water supply!!! And otherwise not even standard things like clean sanitary facilities information etc.gets!!!!

"Mobile home - In my opinion, this is not a campsite but rather a vacation village as there are only mobile homes in about 95% of the pitches, and in between there are a few free pitches where you can camp or pitch a tent. We chose this place because we thought our children would go to the pool more often, but it was not so, especially since it was always very crowded there and on the other hand the beach and the Atlantic is so MEGA TOLL. The only point of criticism: the sanitary facilities were cleaned regularly but unfortunately only very superficially.

"Tourist factory - Too many people, small pitches one on top of the other, no respect for sleeping hours, incessant traffic, constant noise, large, ultra-cleaning and polluting machines. In short, the worst of mass tourism.

"Good all round - Unfortunately only a fun pool, no swimming pool and bathing area on the beach too narrow - otherwise very good very good to endure in the heat because of the pine forest

"5 stars, where are they? Overall io the place but certainly no 5 stars... - We were back at Le Vieux Port after 9 years (back then in a mobile home). As then, again with a group (4 families with children aged between 7 and 15). 2 x with a large caravan and 2 families in mobile homes (Koko / Holland). First of all, the mobile homes were in the orange area and were very clean and comfortable. There is not much negative to say about the pitches that we also had in the orange area (next to each other nos. 76 and 77). However, they were not very clean when we arrived. The size was reasonable (approx. 80 m²), no more and no less. I'll keep it short: For a 5 star campsite (who awards them????), the supermarket was too small (for the size of the site) and far too expensive, the showers too lukewarm (despite the regulator), the toilets too dirty (only cleaned once a day), the pitches too small and not clean enough, the distances to the garbage cans (there is only one place outside the campsite to dispose of garbage) too far, the food on offer too average, the friendliness not always there, etc. We were also disappointed by the fact that the campsite was too small and not clean enough. What also disappointed us was that there was no longer a train to the beach (9 years ago there still was). In this respect, the daily walk to and from the beach (especially for those with physical disabilities) was very difficult. A tip for anyone who wants to do their shopping at a cheaper price: go to Leclerc in Soustons (10 km). Prices there are about the same as in Real, but there's a great range including a good fish counter. The Super-U directly in front of the square is also ok, but also relatively expensive. For all those who don't need anything around it (e.g. strolling in typical tourist villages like Biarritz) and are satisfied with what the campsite has to offer (which, admittedly, is really a lot, but in my opinion the quality doesn't always match the standard), you can just about recommend the campsite, but it's miles away from 5 stars. I think Camping Salou in Spain is closer (we were there with the same guests in 2013)...

The largest aquatic theme park of all French campsites with about 1400 m² of water with brand new pools : a wave-making pool , a kids’ lagoon and an heated spa Jacuzzi . A bigger pool surrounded by sand and …a luxuriant vegetation in the middle of a magnificent setting. Aquatic complex open from the beginning of April until the end of September with 1 wave-making pool*, 3 swimming-pools (one of which is indoor and heated), a 180 m²-heated paddling pool and a lagoon for kids, 2 spas jacuzzi (one of which heated) and 3 water slides. 3 tennis courts (no longer free of charge in July and August), riding school, sports grounds (2 football pitches, 2 basketball courts, 3 volleyball courts, a petanque field, multisport area, playgrounds, table tennis). Safe and Fridge boxes, currency exchange, cash machine, photocopy and fax services, washing machines and dryers, car wash, Internet terminals, WIFI-access, phone boxes, collective barbecues, night watchmen from mid-June until mid-September, bar, restaurant, pizzeria, ice-cream stand, take-away, supermarket, bike rental, playroom, souvenir shops (during the peak-season). In July and August: Mini club for kids aged 4 to 6, Kid’s Club from 7 to 12 years olds. Fitness lessons: aerobics, stretching, step, aqua-aerobics. Sports tournaments, evening entertainment, bull show, cabaret, music and other shows, activities for adults and children.
