Beautiful mini camping on the farm
Scheldehoeve is one of the recommended mini campsites in Zuid-Holland. Situated a little away from the village of Hoofdplaat, you will need a vehicle or bicycles. The nearest larger supermarket is in Oostburg (approx. 30 minutes by car, approx. 15 kilometers). WLAN around the wash house. Wash house small... but nice and unisex. Very clean and tidy, approx. 15 pitches, possibly more depending on use. Partly permanent campers (often Belgians). Parceled out by hedges, electricity everywhere, water central. For a "beach vacation", however, you have to drive to one of the surrounding beaches, which takes about 20-30 minutes on average. We recommend Groede, as there is a large parking lot there (4 € / day). You can also plan a round trip from Groede to Oostburg for shopping and back to the campsite. As it is a farm, it can sometimes be noisy. But usually doesn't start before 8:00 am or later. Overnight stay in July 26 € p. night / 2 p. / WoMo / electricity plus 1.20 € per person visitor's tax. Washing machine (3 €), microwave and fridge "for all" available. Some of the pitches offer shade, which can be an advantage in midsummer. Very friendly management. Super-quiet location away from the road. You can even hear the nearby wind turbines.
