There is also a bus stop in the immediate vicinity for quick trips to Ascona/Locarno. Street.Camping by the riverWe were greeted in a very friendly and welcoming manner. The whole staff is friendly and helpful. After choosing our pitch, we were given all the necessary information about the site and the surrounding area (e.g. map of Ticino...). Some of the plot lettering needs to be cleaned up so that it is legible.... Because of the road, choose the "rear" pitches by the river. We campers need the road too, the only annoying thing is the motorcyclists who thunder past at full throttle. Sanitary facilities (showers + WC, sufficient) are always in top condition. There is disinfectant for the toilet seats in the toilets. There are enough dishwashing sinks. Pizzas from the CP restaurant are excellent. The campsite is located behind a dam on the river, which is ideal for swimming. From there, it's very easy to get to the village of Intragna, from where you can set off on various hiking routes or take the train to Centovalli, for example. It is worth walking to Intragna, as there are wonderful bathing spots for people and dogs... on the beautiful Melezza. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the village. A beautiful, pretty Ticino village, adorned with the highest church tower in the canton of Ticino. Really impressive and well worth seeing. Everyone at the campsite is very friendly and helpful. You have the option of ordering fresh bread every day. The restaurant cooks with love. Our pizza was a dream! The bus/postbus stop is right by the entrance to the campsite. Ask at reception for the "Tocino Card", which allows you to use public transport free of charge...EVEN YOUR DOG!!! CAUTION: There are some bus drivers who try to charge a fare for your dog!!!
