Hopelessly overrated
The site is located two kilometers from La Roche directly on the Ourthe, which is diked here - so you don't get to see the river unless you climb onto the dam. Due to the season, only one wash house was open during our visit, which is understandable in principle. However, this wash house was firstly... very cramped (especially the showers) and secondly very clearly showing its age. The sink for waste water and chemical toilets was a particular highlight: A toilet bowl placed on a pedestal and visible from afar. Many of the pitches were without any vegetation (probably due to rental accommodation that had been removed in the meantime) - deserts of mud that were simply unsightly. All the more so as this site lacks any demarcation of the plots, e.g. by hedges or bushes. In the site description, e.g. in the ADAC camping guide, there is a reference to the fact that the site has wellness facilities. The fact is that this is housed in a kind of container (about the size of a medium-sized mobile home). You won't really be able to relax on the few square meters. All in all, the place was a disappointment for us. It is completely incomprehensible why it has been awarded four stars by the ADAC and others.

a nice campsite
near a creek a very nice large campsite with the possibility of renting mobile homes ( to be booked) large but common pitches without any privacy, lots of children and dogs, but all very clean and pleasant. to report the very well-stocked store at adequate prices and the SPA area

very pleasant camping , especially if you like nature, fishing, cycling and canoeing, the village is within walking distance 2 km cozy and cheerful village.Almost everyone there speaks Dutch.
