Jasmin R.Iulie 2026PlusuriIt's beautiful out in nature.Minusuri!!! Unfortunately, the water level in Lake Eder is currently so low that a beach vacation isn’t really an option. There’s no warning about this on the website. We drove there with our family and kind of ruined our vacation. Other than that, there isn’t much else to do here, unfortunately. A disaster for any family vacation. The campground itself isn’t exactly impressive when it comes to the restroom facilities either—you have to pay extra for every shower and for using hot water to wash dishes!Camping by the Lake WITHOUT WATER!!! Unfortunately, the water level in Lake Eder is currently so low that a beach vacation isn’t really an option. There’s no warning about this on the website. We drove there with our family and kind of ruined our vacation. Other than that, there isn’t much else to do here, unfortunately. A disaster... for any family vacation. The campground itself isn’t exactly a standout when it comes to the restroom facilities either—you have to pay extra for every shower and for using hot water to wash dishes!Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Camping Edersee Paradies 9 Septembrie 2026Dear Jasmin, we’re sorry that your stay didn’t meet your expectations. It’s a shame you didn’t speak with us in person during your stay—we would have been happy to discuss your disappointment and possible alternatives with you.
The water level of Lake Eder depends heavily on the weather and water regulation,... and unfortunately, we have no control over it. That’s precisely why we already mention the potentially low water level in four different places on our website—including on the homepage and in the FAQ section—accompanied by pictures of the amazing flora and fauna that quickly take root on the lake bed, which many people love.
The fee of €0.50 per shower is also clearly stated in advance on our website and in the FAQs. Regardless of the water level, there’s plenty for children and families to experience here, including our animals, play areas, and other outdoor activities.Tradus automat.Niciun turist nu a considerat utilă această evaluare. We’re so glad you enjoyed our laid-back, nature-oriented camping experience, the animals, and your stay in the Pluto rental trailer. - 1.0DWDirk W.Mai 2025PlusuriThe calmMinusuriThe service can be briefly summarized as non-existent. There is no response to complaints. One sink has to be enough for the whole pitch, and washing up is also charged at 20 cents. The entry and exit is very adventurous, even on the pitch. Quite simply the worst pitch we have ever had. The reception is not open on Sunday, which is certainly THE departure day for many. The site is largely occupied by permanent campers, and a fire involving 3 pitches 3 months ago has still not been cleared. Conclusion: Never againA lot of money for little performanceI have already reported on this in detail under Cons. Too bad for the sacrificed free timeTradus automat.Răspuns de la Camping Edersee Paradies 5 Ianuarie 2026Hello Dirk,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you had such a negative experience during your stay - that is not our standard. We are a quiet campsite close to nature, but service and accessibility must still be reliable.
About washing up: There are 6 sinks available on the campsite. The... 20 cents are primarily intended as a small reminder to use water carefully. We have a total of around 200 permanent camping pitches and around 150 tourist pitches.
Unfortunately, we were unable to clear the area with the fire damage immediately, as the insurance company and surveyor had to give their approval first.
Kind regards

It was not possible to pitch the tent thereMinusuriPlace is already very outdated. Lack of cleanliness. Price-performance ratio too high.Edersee paradise? All in all, the place is very unkempt. The sanitary facilities are outdated and - the facilities in the courtyard - were not cleaned. The lighting of the toilet (motion detector) does not work reliably, so that you stood in the dark at night.
I was there over Whitsun and it was very noisy due to many groups. Price-performance ratio too high.
My conclusion: once and not againTradus automat.Răspuns de la Camping Edersee Paradies 20 August 2025Dear Katharina,
Thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. Our place is deliberately kept rustic and close to nature, which many guests appreciate very much, but we understand that this is not suitable for everyone.
We take your comments about... the sanitary facilities and cleanliness seriously and are constantly working on improvements. With heavy rain and a full pitch at Pentecost, the sanitary facilities get dirty very quickly. By the way, outside the holidays it is usually much quieter and more relaxed here.
Best regards

Fii primul! - 2.0VLVolker L.Mai 2024PlusuriVery nice operatorMinusuri- Condition of the sanitary facilities - Very narrow access to the pitchParadise? We were there with a caravan over Corpus Christi.
The approach was difficult as it was too narrow. We left with the help of a tractor.
The site consists mainly of meadow areas or permanent campers.
The numerous permanent camping pitches are partly neglected.
Due to the heavy rain, the ground was very... muddy (drainage?).
The sanitary facilities could do with renovation. Some of the toilet blocks reminded me of the highway...
Despite the well-filled site, it was very quiet on our pitch.
Unfortunately, I can't rate the "restaurant" as it was completely overwhelmed and a visit was therefore not possible.
Overall, the price/performance ratio is not right.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Camping Edersee Paradies 20 August 2025Dear Volker,
Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a detailed report. We are very sorry that your stay did not quite meet your expectations.
We have taken your feedback regarding the sanitary facilities and access seriously. We are working step by step to offer our guests more comfort... without losing the original character of the campsite.
However, we are pleased to hear that it was quiet on your pitch despite the occupancy. Perhaps we will be able to welcome you again in the future - even outside the holidays, when things are much more relaxed here.
Best regards

Sven S.Mai 2024Plusuri- The food in the restaurant was delicious. - Nice starting point for bike tours or hiking. - Lots of animals which makes the place nice for children.Minusuri- Very loud. Late into the night. - Pitches are very sloping and mostly grass. Not so good for camper vans. - Outdated sanitary facilities that are rarely cleaned. - Price / performance simply not right. - Additional money for showers and flushing water. Which is sometimes still not warm.Very chaotic, very loud and original. The course management is very chaotic. Everything takes ages. Exactly the same in the store. It's also poorly stocked and has short opening hours.
There don't seem to be any rules here. Loud conversations, in large groups, until 2-3 o'clock at night. Disposing of bottles and washing up until after midnight....
Stupid if you have set up next to it.
Many places are simply large and sloping meadows. Nobody knows exactly where which pitch starts.
Sanitary very outdated and above all rarely cleaned.
The price is simply too high for all this.
If you like to party and stay up late, this is the place for you.
If, like me, you are looking for a few quiet days, this is not the place for you.
The only bright spot was the restaurant on site. Everything tasted good there.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Camping Edersee Paradies 20 August 2025Hello Sven S.,
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that it was so noisy during your stay. Your visit fell on May 1st, a public holiday on which the campsite is traditionally very busy. Otherwise, things are much quieter for us during the rest of the year.
Kind regards

The donkeys, goats, horses etc. make a happy and balanced impression. You simply feel at home. The sanitary facilities are simple but clean and adequate, as are the rental caravans, which were lovingly renovated last year. Our grandchildren are always with the animals or in the playground. And the Edersee leaves nothing else to be desired.MinusuriShopping facilities are quite far away. Unfortunately, the homepage is rarely updated and there is rarely anyone available by phonePure nature and idyllic tranquillity. You feel welcome! If you like it natural, this is the place for you. If you need a 5-star campsite with lots of comfort, this is not the place for you. If you leave your garbage bag in front of your tent overnight, you will find it picked apart by raccoons in the morning. The focus here is on the animals and that's how... we like it. A first-class campsite for nature lovers and people who love to sit around the campfire in the evening. As we sometimes just stand somewhere, we are equipped with long power cables. You need them here in some places. Not all places are straight, especially if you want to stand near the animal paddocks. On the other side of the main path, where the permanent campers also stand, you will find many flat pitches.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Camping Edersee Paradies 20 August 2025Hello Sabine A.,
Thank you very much for your detailed feedback and the kind words about our place and the animals. We are very pleased that you were able to enjoy the nature and tranquillity! We take your comments to heart. The website has now been updated and we have a small store on site with fresh bread rolls. We hope to welcome you again soon!

Campfires everywhere.Too much "eco" for usBeautiful meadow areas, most of which are too sloping. The power supply is often too far away. Water is also far away, or the taps at the house are not working. The toilets in the large building are clean, but really old. Reception and store have short opening hours, as there are no other shopping facilities... in the immediate vicinity. If you need internet for your smartphone, you should be prepared for maximum Edge.
There is a lot for children to discover, donkeys, horses, goats.
You can hire fire bowls, but this means that campfires are burning everywhere and there is a constant smell of smoke. In the evening, there is no good air.
The proximity to the lakeshore is good. The ferry goes back and forth all the time, but it's not very cheap.

Yes, unfortunately a few children had played with sand in the meeting room where the table football and table tennis tables are located.
