- 5.0HFHolger F.August 20265.0HFHolger F.August 2026PlusuriPure nature, right on the water, peaceful, and dogs are welcome. A very helpful, friendly groundskeeper and also long-term campers.MinusuriI can't think of anything11th Canoe Camp, 18th centuryFor the past 8 years, we’ve been coming to our canoe camp every year. It’s an 18th-century camp from the “New World,” which means life from that era is reenacted here. Many of us don’t just come for that particular weekend—we arrive early to unwind, enjoy the peace and quiet of nature, and go swimming.... Canoeing, good conversations, cooking and eating together. We bury the hatchet for the week. We’re looking forward to next year.

Lilli W.Iunie 20255.0Lilli W.Iunie 2025Plusuri- close to the water - beautiful hiking trails - friendly people and natural surroundingsMinusuriI could not find any disadvantagesWonderful campsiteThe Droschkau campsite impressed us across the board! The location is fantastic - in the middle of nature and yet close to the water, which provides a welcome cool-down, especially on hot days. What's particularly nice is that you can reach the shore directly from the pitch - perfect for relaxing, swimming... or simply enjoying yourself.
There are no complaints about the sanitary facilities. The groundsman was also very friendly and really attentive, as he accommodated our request to camp close to the water.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the permanent campers. Everyone is very nice, helpful and their relaxed manner contributes to the pleasant atmosphere on the site. It almost feels a bit like a small village where you are immediately made to feel welcome.
We will definitely be back - Camping Droschkau is a place to relax and enjoy!Tradus automat.Niciun turist nu a considerat utilă această evaluare. Fii primul! - 5.0

The groundsman was friendly and there was no long wait to get your pitch. The prices are very reasonable for such a wonderful place, and the sanitary facilities were also very pleasant as they were cleaned several times a day. So I can only recommend this campsite to anyone and we will definitely be back.Tradus automat.Niciun turist nu a considerat utilă această evaluare. Camping directly on the shore is possible.MinusuriSanitary facilities Environmental protection VolumeJune 2025The site deserves praise for its location. Camping directly on the shore is possible. Waste is not separated. All garbage is put in a bag and disposed of with it. The sanitary facilities are very old and very dirty even after cleaning.
But the worst thing is the permanent campers in the background. On... Fridays and Saturdays, the site DJ blasts the entire site with Majorca hits and the permanent campers' choir sings along until the early hours of the morning. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you're in the wrong place! The tone of the groundsman varies between relatively friendly and cheeky depending on the person and the day.
For us it was the first and last time.Tradus automat.Niciun turist nu a considerat utilă această evaluare. Fii primul! - 2.0ASAndre S.Mai 20222.0ASAndre S.Mai 2022PlusuriJust 5m to the water. That was great!MinusuriNo bread roll service and reception not always open. A sign with reliable opening hours would be good!WellI can't understand why the groundsman put me on this narrow strip of grass when there would have been enough space on the larger meadow in front.
Not far from the constantly running Stromagregat.
3.50 euros for a garbage bag, which is compulsory to purchase? Cheeky!
What difference does that make... to waste disposal?
The shore could also be maintained. So much garbage washes up here.
And last but not least...to all those who want to come here...bring enough food or a car so that you can go shopping. Breakfast rolls are only available on Saturdays!Tradus automat.Niciun turist nu a considerat utilă această evaluare. According to the permanent camper, this has been going on for 2 years. We had to pay in advance. Drinking water is only available at the sanitary building. Not recommendedThe campsite host is very unfriendly and snippy.
The electricity was simply switched off at night without informing us. And at different times, just as the campsite landlord felt like it. Once even as early as 22:08. According to permanent campers, this has been going on for 2 years.
We had to pay for... the pitch on arrival.
Drinking water was only available at the sanitary building.
Showers with coin machine 1,00 €. We were not informed about this either. The showers still have shower curtains and no anteroom to change.
The CP can only be reached via a narrow single-lane road with no alternative routes. This is regulated by traffic lights, which are switched off from 20:00.
The waste disposal is regulated by a garbage bag, which you get on arrival for 3,...€ from the host. Without any waste separation (whether bottles, paper etc.). That something like this is still possible in Germany!Tradus automat.1 turist a considerat utilă această evaluare. - 5.0HFHolger F.Septembrie 20205.0HFHolger F.Septembrie 2020PlusuriWe liked everything, great area, very nice place right on the water, clean water, swimming was top, clean sanitary facilities and groundskeeper was also nice and helpful to make our stay as pleasant as possible.Minusurithere is not much, only that between 13-15 o'clock no passage to the place was possible.Canoe tour with friendsWe came again and were again very well received. Our camp with 19 historical tents, 17 canoes and 35 participants was another successful camp. We are a group with historical representation from the 18th century from the "New World".
There is nothing we could complain about or worth mentioning, for us... an unforgettable time.
We would like to thank the groundskeeper and his team and say thank you again and stay healthy and see you again soon.

Normally not usual, but the fee for the total time is due immediately and in cash when you register. We had already booked in February, but were seated in the back row next to a large family with millimeter precision. I ask about the
300 m free meadow for alternative pitches, the groundsman's... answer: "The grass is just as nice and green here!" At least we still have a clear view of the water, but we can hear every conversation from the neighboring table.
One day later: New guests have arrived, 2 campers, another large family, they are placed directly in front of us and the shore, the view of the lake is now completely obstructed, the meadow to the left of us is still free for 200m.
So: don't pay before you know the pitch!
We stayed the 4 nights anyway, the neighbors were very friendly. The Droschkau campsite is certainly one of the most beautiful on the Hohenwarte reservoir, but why do you have to put up with so much unfriendliness and arbitrariness from one person?Tradus automat.Niciun turist nu a considerat utilă această evaluare. Restaurants are difficult to reach without a vehicle.Very beautifully situated campsiteI have traveled to many countries, I especially liked the northern countries, the Droschkau campsite reminds me very much of Norway's nature, we enjoyed very nice vacations on the Droschkau, our grandchildren could no longer be moved out of the water, the order with bread and rolls worked great.However,... you should book the place in advance and remember that it is a campsite and not a 5 star hotel.in the evaluation I have heard a lot of negative things about the groundsman,I can not confirm this.he was very polite to us,you have to remember that he has a lot of tasks.there are also people who can not behave and do not follow the camping rules.where then the groundsman can also enforce himself. But to be turned away in such a degrading and arrogant manner by, to put it politely, a primitive groundskeeper is unbeatable in terms of cheekiness and that as old permanent... campers in Droschkau !!!! Then we were allowed to visit the site after almost begging for 10 minutes and there was still room everywhere. As long as this groundskeeper is there we will never visit this actually beautiful campsite again.Tradus automat.Niciun turist nu a considerat utilă această evaluare. Fii primul!

Access to the site is difficult with a large car and is probably best recommended with a tent or camper, but once you're there it's just peace and quiet. It's a long way to shopping... so you need to get that organized before you arrive. The campsite owner can be difficult to understand if you're not fluent in German, but he's friendly and helpful in pointing out the campsite. Remember kayak / boat / canoe !!! it is wildly beautiful surroundings and there are decent conditions on the lake. The fish jump right at the edge so bring a rod and net. The main reason why we don't just come back is probably the trip there with very narrow roads and the locals' unfriendly approach to coming with a caravan.Tradus automat.Niciun turist nu a considerat utilă această evaluare. A vacation is also about feeling comfortable and a lot needs to be done there. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities is below par. The flair of the old days comes through. The groundsman is always in a bad mood and makes sure that the guests don't do anything wrong and stick... to his rules. We were very surprised that some permanent campers didn't use the sanitary facilities and washed themselves with shampoo in the lake. But these campsites probably have their own rules. We were pleasantly surprised by the peace and quiet that this site exuded. We first had to call the groundsman on the phone. He seemed reserved but not overly unfriendly. He let us use the pitch we had already chosen.... We also noticed that he treated others who had requests in the same way. A very quiet site with lots of permanent campers. The site filled up at the weekend. But the volume we experienced on other campsites was not here. Cemetery silence. We enjoyed it. It was Sept and the "main problem time" may already be over..... The sanitary facilities, as I agree with the instructions, took some getting used to but were not really serious. It wasn't always clean but tidy. It's always up to you how clean you leave something. We always got our bread rolls in the morning and there was always a little stop at the kiosk. It's quite steep down to the campsite. And the other way round, of course, it's steep up again. Traffic lights prevent unpleasant encounters with other vehicles. Cycling along the Saale in this area is beautiful, but without an e-bike it is a challenge and only recommended for very sporty people. We really enjoyed our almost week-long stay. Perhaps they will stay longer.EieieiI'm not entirely sure whether the groundsman had noticed the fall of the Berlin Wall. This groundsman, as well as the permanent dacha campers and their caravan/wooden structures, took me back at least 27 years. It's not ok that the groundsman was crunching around in the women's sanitary facilities despite... the presence of several females. An absolute nogo. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were of the same poor standard as elsewhere. I don't even want to know what was in the spray bottle that the groundsman was waving around in the sanitary facilities. Cleaning would definitely have made more sense. It's amazing that several permanent guests washed themselves in the Saale with soap or Syndet.Tradus automat.1 turist a considerat utilă această evaluare.

His arrogant manner spoiled the START of the vacation. Unfortunately, he has not learned how to deal with guests, instead of being... courteous he is patronizing.
