A beautiful and very relaxing campground right on the edge of the forest. If you’re looking for peace and nature, this is the perfect place for you. At the same time, the campground is also very well-suited for families with children—overall, everything looks very well-maintained and pleasant.

The many... opportunities for walks and bike rides are particularly nice. Borger and Gieten are also just a short drive away for shopping. The surroundings are simply perfect for spending a few relaxing days in nature.

We took a look at the standard restroom facilities and found them to be really nice and well-maintained. We had booked a private restroom ourselves, which is, of course, very convenient. However, there’s one thing I find a bit excessive given the already quite high price: despite having booked a private restroom, electricity costs are still charged separately. Especially given the campground’s prices, I would expect that at least the electricity would be included in the price.

Another issue we personally found very unpleasant was the smoking. Unfortunately, we were parked between two smoking sites—cigars were being smoked on one side, and cigarettes on the other. As a result, the smoke constantly drifted over to us and, unfortunately, into our RV as well. That was truly more than unpleasant. Perhaps it would be worth considering making certain areas—or even the entire campground—smoke-free in the future.

Our conclusion: A truly beautiful campground with a great location, plenty of peace and quiet, and fantastic surroundings for walks and bike rides. Overall, we felt very comfortable there and would recommend the campground to others. However, we see room for improvement regarding the additional electricity charges and the smoking issue.
