Store hours, even during the off-season

The campground is spacious and nice. But the accommodations could be better. It wasn't very clean, and the dishwashers only worked halfway. It is well soundproofed, though. 1

The restrooms are well-maintained, and the sites are kept clean.

The spaces are a bit cramped, and the pool water was a bit chilly. Desnackvar was a bit pricey.

A beautiful, well-equipped campground. Well-maintained and spacious sites. The staff is friendly, and there’s plenty for kids to do. Highly recommended: rent a scooter at the front desk to explore the area. So much fun! The restroom facilities are very well maintained, clean, and the showers are wonderful. They’re well laid out and plentiful, so even when the campground is busy, you don’t have to wait to take a shower.

The pool is nice and clean, but it’s really much too small for a campground of this size. We were lucky that the weather was nice, but in five days we couldn’t find a single spot to lie down or sit—it was absolutely packed. The pools themselves were also overcrowded.

The pool, shower and restroom areas, and campsites are all well-maintained and clean. I really liked the various playgrounds near the campsites and the cottages.

Vakantiepark Ackersate is located on the outskirts of Voorthuizen, the largest part of the municipality of Barneveld in the Veluwe region. The area is characterized by abundant woodland and a variety of hiking opportunities. The campsite offers adults and children everything they need for a relaxing stay: an adventure pool with slides, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, including a water playground, a restaurant (although it was partially closed during our stay) and shopping facilities. The site is excellently organized (garbage, maintenance of the green areas, cleaning of the sanitary buildings). The sanitary buildings are modern and functional, and the free use of a dishwasher is a bonus. Access to showers and their use, as well as use of the swimming pool, is via a transponder. The pitches are large and easy to use.

The A1, one of the busiest highways in the Netherlands, runs nearby. It is clearly audible during the day, especially when the wind comes from the southwest. There are many permanent cabins, mobile homes and glamping tents.
