super new sanitary facilities, like in a hotel, very clean, very nice operator, who instructs you about sightseeing in Palermo, easy to reach by train in approx. 50 minutes by train (also hands over exact maps and train schedules), fluent German, French, English and Italian spoken, shade under olive... trees, by the sea, but rocky coast, very quiet, operator also helps to organize a mechanic who tries to repair a problem with the camper on site, very beautiful area, with mountain ranges in the hinterland, ideal before departure with the ferry, you can stay until 12 noon, then until 5 pm you pay half the price and from 5 pm the full price, price with ACSI 23.- Euro incl. camper and 2 persons and electricity. We were there from 7.6 - 9.6.2026, the ferry leaves in the evening at 11 pm, easily accessible from here

Very cozy campsite near the ferry terminal. Lovingly decorated, beautiful pitches under olive trees. Very quiet and more than pleasant. Ideal for visiting Palermo. In the "center" of Femmine, Italy is still Italy! No pedestrian zones with amusement arcades or tourist souvenir stores! Just the real thing.

Beach very rocky, about 500 m walk to the sandy beach. But it didn't bother us, our priority was sightseeing Palermo and standing quietly with the camper.
Quaint and cozy campsite
All in all a very nice place to arrive after the ferry. Super cozy little restaurant, very quaint and very good!

Good connection by train to Palermo! A feel-good place to stand under olive trees.

I don't find any disadvantages on the campsite. Maybe that the sanitary facilities are getting on in years but always clean.
Feel good
This campsite is very well run and the information in the evening is excellent. You can feel at home here. Unfortunately there is a lot of garbage on the rocks outside the campsite. The campsite itself is great, they put their heart and soul into it!

Nice campsite among olive trees, well equipped and with a bottom that absorbs rain well without creating mud. The reception is excellent, the bathrooms are in good condition and clean. The facility has a small market and a bar where meals can also be had. The pitch area has communal barbecues, and if... you had forgotten something to cook, there are small boxes that collect condiments left by guests (pepper, salt, parsley, etc.) to make them available to everyone. The hot shower works on a token basis. It is great as a base for sightseeing, exploring the nature reserves of the northern coast of Sicily and archaeological sites in the area.

OK - but too expensive
The location is of course good for exploring Palermo. There is also no alternative. The two sisters are nice and helpful - no question. The restaurant has a great red wine and the guy is nice. But the beach is rocky and the camping is just too expensive.

Very well-kept place, German speaking, in about 20 minutes you are in Palermo, guarded parking lot is at the port by the cruise ships. Surroundings are not so nice and also no nice beach

Best option for Palermo sightseeing
Very good information about arrival, sightseeing in Palermo including maps and sketches, very knowledgeable and friendly, even if the ferry arrives late (which is apparently common with GNV - terrible organization) you are welcomed in a friendly manner and get a place, you can change the next day, even... the restaurant would have been open (9.15 pm) Sanitary everything you need is there, not quite new but very clean and well maintained (have now gained experience). The food is also very good, good selection and the grocery store is also well stocked. There are more restaurants and cafes in the village. The pitches are large enough, shady and well laid out, all in all we were very satisfied!

Place for sightseeing tour Palermo
We chose the site for a short stay with a visit to Palermo. The sanitary facilities are not the newest, but were always clean! The ladies at reception were super nice and always give an information session about Palermo in the evening, which was very informative. There is a small store with the essentials... and fresh pastries for breakfast. For the first attempt after the ferry crossing and for sightseeing in Palermo, the campsite is highly recommended!

Beautifully maintained campsite with lots of olive trees. Small to large pitches. Friendly reception, partly multilingual. Many excursions (towns, sights etc.) can be made from here. Tips are available at reception. We will definitely go there again. We stayed at the campsite for 3 weeks in May.

Very well suited as a starting point for a PALERMO / Monreale tour
The campsite is very easy to reach from the ferry port. The owner let us into the campsite at 10.30pm despite the ferry being very late. The food in the small bistro was very good. All our questions were answered in German and additional suggestions were given. The approach after the highway was explained to us in detail in advance, as the navigation system usually recommends a much more awkward approach.

Support from the operators
Small campsite on a coastal road with little traffic
Good place to visit Palermo, but the railroad line is currently closed (1 year). Rail replacement service by bus to the metro in Palermo and then by metro to the center, all this is explained in detail by the operators (2 sisters) to the guests in German or English, providing a map. The site and its... facilities are in excellent condition. Breakfast pastries can be ordered in advance, in the evening there is a small bar with some dishes. The village of Isola delle Femmine is also very cozy.

Non-parceled pitch, separated from the rocky beach by a road. Very suitable for visiting Palermo. 15-minute walk to the train station. Excellent multilingual information about the city and tickets available at reception. Sanitary facilities very clean for Sicily. Price for 2 people in June 2016: ACSI 17€

Good place to visit Palermo
The campsite is beautifully situated between a mountain range and the sea. However, this is only accessible via rocks. The sandy beach is in the neighboring village of Capaci. The campsite itself is well signposted and can be reached via the center of Isola delle Femmine. The access road is by no means... narrow, but if the roads are blocked (especially at lunchtime) it can be difficult. The reception was friendly but firm. They insist on compliance with the rules and market themselves well. You have the option of having pizza or chicken delivered. The information about the Palermo excursion is really well prepared. There are tips and maps. Train tickets are available at reception. The hot showers (50 cents for 4 minutes) are advertised on a large board as a special offer. Once the cabin is selected, there are 10 seconds until the water and shower time start to run. The toilets have no glasses and there is no paper. The chemical toilet can be emptied right next to the sinks. Conclusion: Good place for a Palermo visit or for arrival/departure.

Good location of the campsite if you arrive in Palermo by ferry.
Good starting point for sightseeing in Palermo. The train station is a 10 minute walk away. From there you can easily take the train (tickets are available at the reception) directly to the chaotic city center

Well located for Palermo visits

We've been to this place several times, as it's simply brilliant for a visit to Palermo. Andrea was again very helpful and gave us lots of tips. The food and wine were good again and the owner of the restaurant has changed a lot since our last visit, he has become quite talkative. We had a very nice chat with him.

The location of the campground makes it easy to visit multiple locations located in the area.

Little free beach present in the place except for stretches of cliffs. Country somewhat poor in activity.
Relaxing
the campground turns out to be very clean, with helpful and friendly staff. The pitches are spacious and shady, there is a market where you can buy various products and have breakfast. There are both cold, free and outdoor showers) and hot, coin-operated showers. The place is strategic to be able to... visit all the surrounding areas, in the country we did not find many activities and therefore we preferred to go often to Palermo. The sea is clear and warm, in August the beaches are very crowded so it is difficult to find free beach but there are equipped lidos. Overall an excellent vacation.
