A beautiful, large meadow with no designated spots—just find a place to park The restroom facilities are simple but very clean An affordable campsite at 12.50 for one person with a VW bus
Minusuri
Electricity is available only in part of the campground—which isn't a problem for me, since I have electricity on board
Simple - Clean - Prime Location
Located right at the entrance to the "Suchá Belá" gorge. There are several bistros and a restaurant across from the campground that I can recommend. The simple setup at the campground suits my camping style perfectly. For one shower token (1€), you get 3 minutes of hot water, which is totally fine.

Very good location, close to various gorges for hiking Covered pitches for bad weather Accessible by public transportation.
Minusuri
I can't remember anything negative. It was the nicest campsite on our trip.
Perfect camping spot for hiking tours
Check-in is straightforward, the site is not parceled out and has plenty of free pitches to choose from.
There is a restaurant and snack bar around the campsite
The view extends as far as the High Tatras, but the most impressive thing is the variety of hiking trails in the "Slovakian paradise" with starting points directly at the campsite or in the surrounding area.

Bus stop at the campsite

Super home base
An ideal place for trips to the Slovak Paradise. Camping area with space, well-groomed grass, nice views. Well-equipped with equipment tourist kitchen. Water in the showers for tokens, hot 24 hours a day. In my opinion, too few electrical connections and concentrated on one side of the site. Other than that, a nice camping site.

Great starting point for hikers
Minusuri
Sometimes too few power connections during the season
Gorge hiking directly from the camp
If you like hiking, this is the best starting point for breathtaking gorge hikes directly from the camp. Buy a hiking map at the information desk and off you go. Electricity is sometimes scarce for caravans due to the limited connections. The fantastic view of the Tatra Mountains at sunset is a must-see. Sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day. Snack bar and 2 restaurants are just a few minutes' walk away.

Well-kept facility and good V+E station
Nice quiet, well-kept place.
The camper pitches are unpaved, if it has been raining for a long time you can get stuck. But the groundsman is happy to help.

Plusuri
Good location, large area
Minusuri
Service and sanitary facilities
Good on the outside, bad on the inside
Since there is no electricity available for tents, everything is plugged in at the sanitary building - then the only sanitary building in the area is simply locked for hours... shower water to be paid extra with coins and then cold... rinsing basin resembles a cattle trough and is only equipped with cold water. place itself ok, performance poor.

* winkel * dicht bij wandelgebied
Minusuri
* beperkt sanitair (aantal)
Overdag is camping uitgestorven, men wandeld hier of in de tatra. Politie houd regelmatig toezicht.

Camping in the "Slovakian paradise"
Good starting point for hikes (Sucha Bella etc.). We were there in the low season and felt like we were in a ghost town. Due to the low number of visitors, the sanitary facilities were probably not cleaned as often as when the hut was full.... But no big deal, we'd love to come back because of the location

We have visited this campsite 5 times already and certainly not for the last time. The campsite is relatively quiet and clean. The people at the reception are helpful, advise and assist. There are plenty of restaurants and a shop. The only minus that this campsite has is the toilets. There is nowhere... to undress and nowhere to put your clothes so they don't get wet and there is only one sink in the front. There is also no drinking water in the camping areas. You have to walk quite a distance to the kitchen or to the toilets.

Plusuri
Quiet and very well-kept campsite with new, well-equipped sanitary building
Minusuri
Sanitary blocks too small for high season; few pitches with electricity
perfect CP for all kinds of hiking and climbing (Slovakian paradise)
quiet and well-kept CP with large area for tents; pitches with electricity uneven for tents flatter; little shade available; when CP occupancy is high, the new sanitary house, even with the alternative sanitary house, will be overloaded; even with good frequency of the new sanitary house very clean;... it is also attractively designed (s. Photo); owner speaks very good German, but behaves somewhat reserved; restaurant at the CP is already overcrowded at low pre-season occupancy, we didn't get a place at 5:30 pm (all places were reserved); in June we had to struggle with mosquitoes, especially in the evening; CP is perfect as a starting point for hikes of all categories

Very good starting point for the Slovakian paradise and surroundings
Minusuri
Too few showers
The perfect start to hiking
The campsite is located at the entrance to the Slovakian paradise. Various hiking trails start directly at the campsite, including the popular trail to Sucha Bela. This makes it very popular with hikers from SK, PL, CZ and HU. Therefore very crowded at the weekend. The site is spacious and level on a... large meadow at the edge of the forest. One section has electricity connections. As a lot of campers come, this is still sufficient. You have free choice of pitch. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and clean. You need shower coins to shower. As you can stop in between, there is enough time. However, when the campsite is quite full on weekends, there are simply not enough showers. At least one more sanitary building is missing, especially as everyone who comes back from hiking heads for the showers in the afternoon. But that is the only flaw. There is a playground at the entrance. You can buy wood and make a campfire in the evening, and there is a friendly welcome at reception (English) and lots of information about possible hikes. There is also an information office for the park rangers. Outside the campsite there is a small store and various restaurants. So, ideal for spending a few days hiking in a Slovakian paradise. Spiss Castle and the Dobsinska Cave are also within easy reach. Highly recommended!

Restaurant on site. WiFi available at the reception. Hiking trails well described. Quiet and natural campsite.
Minusuri
Villages in the surrounding area not very attractive.
Base for the most beautiful hiking tours.
Clean campsite for both tents and motorhomes. Good base for very nice hiking tours(!!) into the Slovakian paradise. Sanitary facilities are clean, but will hardly be sufficient as soon as the site is well frequented. The site is also very suitable for young people with tents. Supply and disposal for camper vans available. The hiking tour via the via ferrata is highly recommended!!! (not suitable for dogs)

The location is perfect - this camping is exactly at the beginning of Sucha Bela trail. There's something I didn't like though. You need to pay extra for the shower (it is not included in price) and the water runs strange (like spitting, not a stream). It is not very hot as well.

the sanitary facilities looked freshly renovated - well equipped except for missing hooks, the number of washing facilities is too small (when the place is full in summer) - the area for washing up is old and should be urgently renovated. the place is an ideal starting point for hikes. overall recommendable (there are not too many of them in Slovakia)

The site is in a very nice location. The grounds of the site are also quite nice, and there are also fire pits. The reception building looks modern and gives hope. However, the sanitary facilities for camping guests are in incredibly poor condition and are not cleaned adequately. There is no toilet paper.... Tip: In the front area there is a sanitary building for the users of the bungalows for rent. This has been renovated and is in a more reasonable condition.
