- 4.0AHAndrea H.Iulie 2026Campground in a beautiful locationThe campground is located in a beautiful area at the foot of the Sciliar Mountains. There are good bus connections nearby. Our site, No. 304, was equipped with all the necessary hookups. However, they should plant a few more bushes between the rows to provide a little more privacy. We had a very nice... and clean private bathroom. The public restrooms are also very pleasant, clean, and well-maintained. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We didn’t like the time slots for using the pool in the afternoon, which is much too small for the campground. The “Zur Quelle” restaurant is worth a visit if you’re looking for a more upscale dining experience. However, there’s no restaurant or snack bar where you can grab a “normal” meal—a place where you can stop by for a quick bite, grab a drink, or pick up something to go. This restaurant should be open every day during peak season. The pizza vending machine is a nice idea. The pizzas are good quality, but they’re cold by the time you get back to your campsite. In short, a great place in a beautiful location with some room for improvement. The campground supermarket was very well-stocked, but as always, more expensive than a regular supermarket.
We didn’t like the... advance reservation system for the pool, so we ended up going to the nearby pond instead.
The manager at the campground restaurant was very unfriendly and brusque; we thought the food was overpriced for what it was.

It was very hot in the dishwashing area, which is located in the same building.
It would be really nice to have some cool air circulation there.

The location and the campsites are still a dream. But when it comes to service and amenities, the campground isn’t what it used to be for us. The new reception area and the new shop are certainly a sight to... behold upon arrival. Unfortunately, we got the feeling that the campground is getting bigger and bigger, while the service is getting worse and worse. Everything feels like some kind of assembly-line operation. It’s all very impersonal—no time for personal questions about whether everything is or was okay (not even at checkout). They really need a second restroom building. In the evenings, all the showers were occupied; sometimes in the mornings, all the toilets were full too; the dishwashing area was constantly overcrowded and stiflingly hot, like a sauna. There were no hygiene bins in the restrooms themselves—that’s just no longer acceptable. No wall hooks for a jacket or bag. In the showers, unfortunately, there’s only
a small stool to set things on. It’s a real shame that, despite the campground being fully booked on a Sunday in June, the shop wasn’t even open for two hours to sell a few fresh rolls. The restaurant apparently has only one cook, as it was closed due to illness. When we asked if we could get a drink “to go,” my husband was turned down very rudely.
On Friday morning, the lawn edger was started up before 6 a.m.—noise you really don’t need on vacation at that hour.
The cleanliness of the entire grounds and the friendliness of the housekeeping staff and outdoor workers are commendable. The pizza vending machine is a cool idea, and the pizzas really taste good.
It’s still a place with a dreamlike setting, but there’s room for improvement in some areas when it comes to service.

Not only were the sensational location and views of the Dolomites spectacular, but the entire facility—including the restroom facilities, the very friendly staff at the... front desk, and the well-stocked market—left a very positive impression. I also don’t want to forget the restaurant “Zur Quelle” with its excellent menu.
