"1 star - never again! - 1 star - never again! We were with two families and two Bullis on Eiland van Maurik and have rarely experienced such an inflexible and less hospitable campsite. As the weather was bad almost all the time during our stay, we put up pavilions so that we and especially our children could sit, eat and spend time together in a dry place. The pavilions were professionally and securely fastened with lashing straps and ground anchors. Shortly after setting up, a park ranger appeared and explained to us that these were prohibited "party tents". When we asked where exactly these were defined, no one could give us a clear answer. Neither the information nor the terms and conditions explain what even counts as a party tent. Nevertheless, the dismantling was insisted on without compromise. What was particularly disappointing was the complete indifference to our situation. Nobody cared that without the weather protection it was impossible to eat together and the children were left out in the rain. Every attempt to find a sensible solution was blocked. Neither a concession nor a rebooking to permanent accommodation or a price reduction were even considered. The rules regarding the positioning of the vehicles were also enforced with a pedantry that we have never experienced on any other campsite. Several guests had to dismantle and rearrange everything again after setting up. Our impression: rules count more than people here. Instead of hospitality, you experience control, rigidity and a lack of customer orientation. If you are looking for a family-friendly campsite with understanding staff, you should look for other accommodation.

"Not a hospitable park - We did not find it a welcoming campground. Prices very unclear, vary quite a bit. Post season spot very expensive. Hondon friendly, over €9 for a small dog is just money knocking. A money-laden park. Food was mediocre, not recommended. We will not come back.

"Camperwiede definitely not recommended - Actually a nice campsite, but the camper pasture is a disaster. At 45.50 euros per night, it's an outrage when you find out from your own research that the 120 square meter pitches with electricity and water on the site cost the same.

"IT GOES LIKE THIS ZEILPLATZ. (VAKANTIEPARK] - OUR VACATION HOUSE WAS VERY DIRTY.AND THAT FOR 45 EURO.BORING FOR THE CHILDREN WHEN THERE ARE NO VACATIONS HERE IN HOLLAND.NOTHING IS DONE HERE.COCKTAIL OR BEACH BAR IS CLOSED.AND THERE ARE NO COCKTAILS!!!!

"Great place on the Lower Rhine - We were there this year over Whitsun and Ascension Day. Once with two families and once with 5 families and children. We had our boat with us. The site is beautifully laid out and has plenty of space on the pitch. Electricity is a matter of course and there is a cable connection. Young trees provide shade at the pitches if required. The inland lake, formerly an oxbow lake of the Rhine, is ideal for motorboats and boating in general. You can really put the pedal to the metal on the Lower Rhine itself. There are lots of play facilities for children and even an indoor play hall. There are also small playgrounds in the rows of pitches for younger children, who can then play under the supervision of their parents. We were unable to test the culinary qualities as we were generally self-sufficient. Only on the Tuesday after Pentecost did we want to go out for a meal at 20:00. However, all the restaurants on the square were already closed. However, a member of staff at the pizzeria ordered us a pizza in Maurik, which we then just had to pick up. That was nice and very helpful. Perhaps it was simply because Tuesday was already low season again. We had accidentally blown the fuses twice. It's your own fault if you turn on the heating in the camper van with 2KW and then turn on the 1500 watt electric heater in the awning at the same time. The reception was no longer manned, but you could call a contact person at the entrance via an intercom. After 10 minutes a friendly gentleman arrived and everything was back to normal! Great! The sanitary facilities and showers were great! There was free Wi-Fi, with which you could even stream the Bundesliga on your iPad. Top marks! All in all, it was a great place. Absolutely recommendable. But there is one suggestion for improvement: the barriers didn't work properly. Somehow they were supposed to work with the license plate. Then we got tickets, but they only worked once. That was just annoying when slipping, as you had to go to reception every time to have the door opened. But it could also be that I didn't understand the whole system.
