Central location, so centers such as Marstrand, Tjörn Island and Gothenburg are within easy reach.

Due to the direct location on a road (160), a certain noise level is unavoidable. Bathing directly at the campsite is also limited (shallow water and silt).
Small campsite centrally located
Unfortunately, there were no pitches with electricity for us. These are probably reserved for motorhomes and caravans. The first pitch we were offered was too small and was right at the entrance to the campsite (although it did have the option of electricity). However, as there is a beautifully situated... camping meadow, we made use of it.
There are plenty of shops in the neighboring town of Stenungssund. The reception was friendly and helpful. There was also a small restaurant (Surfviken) including outdoor dining.
The sanitary facilities, kitchen and lounge were clean. However, as is so often the case in Sweden, this is also a communal facility.

Small site on a peninsula approx. 2 km south of the town, close to the road and the railroad line. Reception not manned, must be called by telephone. Unpaved paths with deep potholes. Slightly terraced pitches with a view of the water. Sanitary facilities simple and ancient, probably not maintained for... a long time. Much of it filthy and broken. Out of 5 showers, only one worked reasonably well. WC sink an indescribable sinkhole. SEK 200 incl. electricity and showers. No further service, no V+E for motorhomes. CKE not required.
