- Steffen B.May 2019PositivosPeace, cleanliness, walking distance to the dog beach, spacious pitchesNegativosHand wash basin in the old sanitary building only in the outdoor areaAn emergency solution became a direct hit...A last-minute change of plans took us to Holland during Ascension week in May. As the campsites we had originally wanted were fully booked, we went to Rockanje. And we were pleasantly surprised. Really large, beautifully level comfort pitches and a very clean campsite. Yes, there are many permanent campers,... but we were always greeted in a friendly manner (and we've experienced this differently in Holland and Luxembourg). The sanitary facilities (to the left of the reception) are not up to date, but always very clean. They are cleaned several times a day. The only disadvantage...no washbasin in the toilet area, you have to go outside:-( The new sanitary building, next to the supermarket and restaurant, is different. The sanitary building is modern, clean and you can wash your hands in the toilet area. From the campsite you can walk through the dunes to the beach and end up directly in the dog beach area. From the beach you can easily walk to Rockanje, a nice little town with a supermarket for the essentials. Rotterdam (approx. 30 - 40 minutes by car) is a great place for sightseeing. We will definitely be back :-)Traduzido automaticamente.
- Julia H.May 2019PositivosClean and very friendlyNegativosStore only open until 4 pmvery nice placeWe have just returned from a weekend away. Super nice campsite. The path to the beach is in a beautiful nature reserve, where we even crossed paths with wild buffalo. Impressive and very peaceful animals. My daughter really enjoyed the swimming pool on the site. There are few Germans there, but that's... not a bad thing. Everyone is very friendly. The sanitary facilities were always clean and the family shower is a really great size and the shower runs long enough. If you are out and about very early, you can see wild rabbits hopping all over the site or lying completely relaxed on the meadow. there are a lot of dogs on the site, but their droppings are nowhere. everything is well maintained. The only thing that was a bit of a shame is that the store is only open until 4pm. it certainly wasn't our last time there. Price-performance absolutely great.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Caro A.July 2018PositivosClose to the beach, well-kept, new sanitary facilities, dog-friendly, very helpful staff, entertainment program, relaxing vacation for everyone!NegativosNoneGreat, modern park in a wonderful locationWonderful park with large, as-new sanitary facilities. We were there for the first time this year and can't understand the "old-fashioned" reviews. The playground is large, well-maintained and in perfect condition. As there are always lots of children there, the target group also seems to really like... it. The park itself has a lot of regular guests and permanent pitch holders. As a result, the grounds are beautiful and well-kept. This has often invited us to go for an evening stroll, and you can strike up a conversation with everyone (if you want to) because the atmosphere is incredibly friendly. Most of the park visitors are Dutch - if that bothers you in the Netherlands, you should probably spend your vacation on the German North Sea coast. Although we unfortunately don't speak the language, it was easy to communicate in German/English. Our teenage children made direct contact with other youngsters and were out and about all the time. Dogs are welcome on the campsite and despite the large number of them, you won't find any left behind, as there are "dog bags" available everywhere. Overall, the site is very clean and well-kept. The walk to the beach takes about 15 minutes and is a dream. You walk through dunes and partly through a nature reserve with free-roaming (large but harmless) buffalo. If you like nature, you'll love it here. The beach right next to the park is a long, wide dog beach, framed by dunes, where dogs are allowed to run free at all times. We also recommend sunbathing here, as the beach in Rockanje itself (another 10-minute walk from there) is quite crowded. If you like beach stalls, you'll have to take a 10-15 minute walk to the right or left. The proximity to Rotterdam and The Hague, the beautiful flat area around the park, the beautiful places and the possibility to explore everything by bike - we were totally thrilled! We can absolutely recommend this park for families with children and teenagers and especially for dog owners.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Anja D.August 2017Great placeWe were here for the first time this year. We had booked a comfort pitch, which was simply huge. In addition to the caravan with awning, small tent and car, an awning/pavilion and an additional tent would have easily fitted here. The site is mainly used by permanent campers and chalet residents, so there... are mostly Dutch people from the Rotterdam area. We personally didn't mind that there were only a handful of Germans. There is a large playground, soccer pitch, pool and children's entertainment for the children. Our three children, aged between 7 and 12, were out and about almost all day. Dogs were also welcome and very popular guests here. The path to the sea was a 15-minute walk through the dunes. The beach was clean. All in all, we had a wonderful two weeks at the Paltz in South Holland.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Jessica W.July 2016Positivosyou can cycle out of the CP very nicelyNegativosUnkind & old-fashioned, no washbasin in toilet room, access routes too narrowExperience gained, but no repetition necessaryWe (a couple with a 6 year old child) stayed there for 10 days during the German summer vacation. We had a large, flat pitch, unfortunately right next to the access road to the campsite, where it was quite noisy from suppliers and other trucks. Most of the campsite is occupied by permanent caravans or... mobile homes. Everyone knows everyone from the permanent campers there and conversations were only possible with other "short-term vacationers". The permanent guests there don't look at you with their asses. The access roads on the site are very narrow and only for experienced trailer drivers. The playground is ok, but everything is quite outdated and unloving. There is only one bench for accompanying smaller children who are not yet able to go there on their own. The entire playground is covered in soft (beach) sand. The swimming pool with slide is quite nice and saved our vacation for our daughter. It's a pity that the area around the pool is all paved and barely fenced/walled. If none of the 10 loungers are free (because the children who go swimming alone put their towels on them and are then in the water for 3 hours), you are forced to lie down with your towel on hard paving stones. So all in all a bit unloving, in my opinion a meadow lounger area belongs there. Wc and shower area clean, but you have to wash your hands outside at the sinks after the toilet. THAT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. Soap is of course also out of place there. You have to walk to the beach from the end of the pitch through the forest and dune area, even bicycles are forbidden there. With a child and beach things, which you now have to carry completely, where you have expected to get to the beach by bike, you are then about 15-20 minutes on the way. We preferred to cycle to Rockanje (approx. 5km) to the beach, where there are 2 very nice stretches of beach with toilets. There are no toilets on the "house beach" of the campsite. The restaurant on the campsite is very expensive, the chip shop is okay, but also more expensive than normal in Holland. The supermarket was spartan. A baguette for the barbecue was ok (if you could get one at all), but we got everything else by bike at Netto in Rockanje.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Heinz W.August 2012Super placeA beautiful place with many leisure activities for big and small :-) We were in August 2012 on the CP and had everything you need.Sanitary modern and clean,to the beach with or without a dog about 10 minutes through the dunes, without having to cross a road.Pool and playground well maintained and clean. We were not the last time thereTraduzido automaticamente.
- Karsten J.June 2011Very large site, but most of them are permanent campers. The few remaining pitches are also rented out to seasonal campers. Good: Each pitch has electricity and water and waste water connections. Designed for permanent campers. Opening hours of the supermarket limited during the week, longer hours from... the weekend. Playground is large but old and in my opinion dangerous, outdated metal play equipment. Pool is unsupervised, but this is pointed out. Sanitary facilities are in need of renovation.Traduzido automaticamente.
