"WunderBar :-) - We rented a kota for two nights during the week in August. Cute little house, large bed, nicely furnished. The welcome was very friendly with a handshake from Gidi. The alternative campsite is really nice. You can pitch your tent how and where you want between trees, hedges and bushes. The average age range is from babies to senior citizens. The Wunderbar has a great location under a large walnut tree. In the evening, the guitars are unpacked and sung, a wonderful feeling. The bar serves cakes (which are incredibly tasty), game sausage, pizza and drinks. You can order breakfast for the next day or just bread rolls. It's a shame that there aren't two or three more simple dishes in the evening. There is a bench with a table in front of the kota. Perhaps some thought should be given to installing sun and rain protection. The same goes for the bistro, because you get wet when it rains ;-) There are also power sockets and bed linen. The bed was very comfortable. Small mangko: there were only 3 drawers to store clothes. For the two of us for two days it was no problem to live out of a suitcase. But for a longer stay it would have been a bit annoying at some point ;-) It's totally quiet there at night. You can hear the trees rustling and occasionally the horses from the riding stables right next door. The site is quite large and there is also a campfire area and a stage at the edge of the campsite. I assume that performances are also held there, perhaps at the weekends? There is also a cocktail bar (also only open at weekends?) with sun loungers on the sand and a small paddling pool. All very cozy. The sanitary building fulfills its purpose and is clean. Unfortunately, like everywhere else, there are pigs who don't manage to remove the leftover food from the drain sieve after washing up or hair in the shower. "Highly recommended for nature lovers and families! - Beautifully situated in the forest and by a babbling brook. With attention to detail, the owners have created a wonderful place to relax and "ground yourself". The concept is eco, organic and sustainable and perhaps a little bit hippie 😜 The "Wunderbar" serves delicious food and there are also numerous leisure activities (barbecue, live music, club, etc.). It gets cozy in the evening with fairy lights and campfires. The site is clean and there are no designated pitches, which makes the whole thing very informal. The showers are free and there are no annoying coins. Perfect for children, as the campsite is anything but stuffy and, with the nearby forest, offers perfect conditions for playing in nature. But: if you're looking for peace and quiet, you're in the wrong place in high season. There's a lot going on here, which you have to like. The "Saar Hunsrück Steig" hiking trail runs right through the middle. Also perfect for hikers. We will be back!

"Best campsite for a wonderful short vacation - We stayed at the campsite for a week in June 2022. Never experienced such friendly staff in such a relaxed atmosphere. Everything was super nice. Every day there was homemade cake from the boss's wife and a cozy get-together at the fireplace by the bar. Wonderful place with old trees. A healthy mix of camping guests. All ages represented, from young people to senior citizens. The highlight was a music event with a blues band. Live music for no extra charge. They really come up with something on the campsite. I will definitely be back next year.

Perfil

It’s a unique location, without fixed booths and is very peaceful. In fact, the only sound you’ll probably hear is produced by a small creek running along the edge of the campsite. We’re improving the scenery with a lot of …energy, enthousiasm and creativity to make it even more magical. There are many trees and the spots on the campsite are unmarked, you may choose the best spot yourself! We do not have seasonal or yearly contracts! There are some locations which are suited for small campers. If you would like to bring your camper, please ask one of our team to find a beautiful spot together. We love nature, which is why this is a car-free campsite. (Loading and unloading is allowed.)
