"Well located, friendly bungalow park with camping facilities - The site primarily rents out bungalows/mobile homes. In addition, it offers a nice separate area for mobile homes and caravans with partly paved (concrete) pitches and a spacious and beautifully laid out tent meadow. The site is very centrally located - the beach and the streetcar station are within walking distance (approx. 1-2 km). The sanitary facilities are getting on in years, but are cleaned daily by an external cleaner. The mobile homes are also getting on in years, but they are also cleaned well. In general, the site did not seem to be as well known as neighboring sites, but we heard from many that Veld & Duin had improved a lot in recent years. The reception was not always open due to a lack of staff. However, if you had any questions or problems, you could call them. Problems (e.g. the water in the wash house was cold) were dealt with immediately. You can't eat on the pitch. However, the nearby town offers plenty of restaurants and stores. There are also two bakeries just around the corner (not open every day) and a camping store. As we always like to try out new things, we won't be visiting the site again. However, we will be happy to recommend it to friends.

"Well-kept family-run campsite - Very well-kept family-run camping park. Pitches partly paved. Shower tokens were included in the price with our ACSI card. Some of the toilets were not left in the best condition by the "guests", but this is not the fault of the operator. In a few minutes you are at the Kusttram station (10-ticket at the tourist office for €16), in the dunes, by the sea or in Bredene with supermarkets, cafés, restaurants etc., there is a weekly market on Tuesdays, really everything is within walking distance.

"Great campsite, quiet and yet close to the center and the beach - We spent a week camping in Bredene, as we do every year, and as our previous campsite wasn't very clean last year, this year we decided on this campsite, which we really liked. The pitches for motorhomes and caravans are very large, the ground is concreted for mobile homes and there is a grassy area next to it. Also suitable for large caravans and motorhomes. The sanitary facilities are small but very clean and well maintained. As the pitches are at the back of the site, it is very quiet, but also close to the center and close to the beach and the grass dunes. It is also ideal for dog owners, as there are parks directly opposite the campsite. There is a kiosk and camping supplies directly in front of the campsite. However, the WiFi was very weak, probably because the pitches were at the back of the site, but was acceptable at 6 euros per week. We felt very comfortable and will definitely visit again this year. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we had a great time.

"Nice place for both families and couples - We were there several times with the children a few years ago, each time in rental accommodation (chalet, mobile home, vacation apartment) and were always very satisfied. The site is great, it's not far to the town or the beach and you can easily get a little further away by streetcar. There is a nice playground for the children on the site. This year was the first time we were there with our tent trailer and that was also great. The sanitary facilities could be a bit bigger, but they were ok and clean. The campsite operators are super friendly and we will certainly camp here again when the opportunity arises :-)

"Beautiful, quiet campsite in a great location - Quiet campsite with lots of bungalows, large tent pitches (80sqm) and friendly staff. You are quickly on the beach and in Ostend. Simply perfect for a vacation

"Quiet place and fair conditions - We, 2 adults, were at Veld en Duin in August. We had planned to stay for at least 2 weeks, but due to illness we had to return home after just one week. Although we had made a reservation, there were no problems with the booking process and we only paid for the days we actually spent there. The pitches themselves are more or less parceled out, have electricity and water connections, some also have cable TV and are large enough (7-metre caravan). The area is in a well-kept general condition and you can see that efforts are being made to maintain this in the future. The sanitary facilities are in good, modern condition and are cleaned regularly. However, there are too few showers and toilets available for the size of the campsite, which can lead to waiting times in the high season. Veld en Duin is located at the end of the Bredene "camping mile" as seen from Ostend. This is an advantage because it is simply quieter. The bakery is close by and has a wide range of products in the small store. There are plenty of supermarkets in Bredene, some of which are just a 10-minute walk away. If you want to go to the beach, you have two options for crossing the highway and S-Bahn line. The closer one is only for pedestrians, as you have to cross the natural and beautiful dune a few meters on sand, whereas the other access offers a paved path to the beach, but is a little further. Excursions to Oostende or deHaan are best made with the S-Bahn, which stops just a few minutes from the campsite. Parking in Belgium is not a cheap pleasure. I can only recommend the site!

Drive from Brussels on the E40 towards Ghent/Ostend. At the Kennedy roundabout, turn right towards Knokke-Heist/Blankenberge, then go straight onto the coastal road. After about 6 km, you’ll see a sign for “Bredene” on the right. Turn right there, then immediately …left onto Driftweg. After Hotel Ibis Styles, turn right, then immediately left. Veld & Duin is 200 m further on the right.
