The location and furnishings with an incredible terrace

Mobile home sleeps 8 but the layout is not suitable for 2 couples with 2 children as there is a module for 2 adults only.

External lighting could be better. Charges high when not all facilities available. Toilets not cleaned during our stay. Paid 9 euros extra for lake position despite site being virtually empty and at the end of the season

Home furniture cleanliness

Le Tedey has remained the same despite many new features (rentals), and we've rediscovered the campsite we loved in the 80s (and beyond).

A certain disappointment when we arrived: mini-market closed in the afternoon, restaurant closed for part of the week, takeaway closed! We were not aware of this. We had to go shopping again at the supermarket. It's a pity that the season ends at the same time as the school vacations... there are still holidaymakers in September who would like to benefit from all the services.

Although large, the site has a lovely peaceful atmosphere under the pine trees with lots of bicycles and space for nature. We stayed in a comfortable mobile home, there are many options. The lake is sandy and clear, lovely for a swim, and the whole area has a network of bike paths through the forests to the beach and to Bordeaux and elsewhere. In the past I've stayed with my children who loved the freedom to roam safely.

Very quiet, very clean campsite with friendly staff. We spent a pleasant weekend.

Very frustrating on a weekend to have to return the mobile home at 10am on Sunday! It's like losing every other day...

The lake

The location on the lake and the peace and quiet are simply priceless.

Very pleasant campsite, friendly lakeside bar-restaurant with superb views. Convenient mini-market, ideal location and mobile home in good condition. The location is perfect for visiting the region, swimming safely in this magnificent lake, and the ocean is very close by for those who prefer waves.

I have been coming to Le Tedey since I was a child. My first visit was in 1979. It is close to my heart. I like that it remains uncomplicated. The location is everything. That said, I appreciate the boule pitches and the table tennis (more tables please - two is not enough). The shop has good opening hours and seems to carry a range of goods - not as good as it was before in high season but better in low season.

When I was a child, there were no reeds or bushes along the beach front. It was a safe place for children to bathe as it was shallow and children could be seen from the beach. Over the years, the reeds have almost closed off access to the lake. I know that the beach is not owned by Le Tedey but the reeds are managed at Le Moutchic and at Longarisse. I wonder if the bushes could be cut back to improve the view and the reeds could be managed to allow access to the water in a few places. Also there are potholes that need repair in the roads.

A little light in the alleys at nightfall could help avoid getting lost!
