It is an outdated, neglected campground run by an old woman with her son. Everything is old and dirty. Old squat toilets, smelly, old piss tanks outside. Cleaning consists of hosing down clean. Showers give fine water. No lights outside by the dishwashing sinks. Not a cozy campground. Sites are huge,... you can stand where you want. Many trees, shade everywhere. The campground is on the Ardeche. There are no facilities for children. Playground is neglected, high weeds growing everywhere, empty caravans everywhere. No pool or store, no possibility to eat. There is no security, the barrier never closes. The place is noisy, especially at night. Cars drive back and forth all night. Parties until early morning, people talking and laughing until 5 in the morning. There is no control or surveillance. The whole campground gives a peculiar atmosphere because it is so obvious that nothing has been done to it in the last 20 years and there is no leadership to make anything of it. Still , despite this and despite the noise we had from young people every night, we thought it was a wonderful campsite because of the space (there was hardly anyone there) and the location on the Ardeche. But it is clearly not a 4-star campsite, not even 3. Rather 1 or 2.
