- Peter B.June 2018Ripping off German campersUnfortunately, the ACSI Card was not accepted. They said the caravan was too long. After talking to other campers, it was obvious that all German campers pay more and the Dutch campers don't need it - no matter how long the caravan was. When asked, the owner became very angry and insulting.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Claudia T.June 2018PositivosPublic transportation to FlorenceNegativosWashbasin directly in front of the toilets. You can hear it crashing behind you when you brush your teeth. I didn't think that was greatNice place for a stopover but.....Ideal for a stopover in the south. Good pizzeria, you can go for a good walk with your dog. Unfortunately our Acsi Card was not accepted because our WW is 7.40 m with drawbar. We had to pay the regular price and got a pitch on the meadow next to the footwell gates. Too expensive for that. Unfortunately very unfriendly when we asked.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Daniel K.May 2018PositivosPeace and quiet, close to FlorenceNegativosStore too expensiveIdeal for a visit to FlorenceVery friendly welcome from all staff! Pitches well laid out, no narrowness, sanitary facilities were clean and in order, no individual wash cabins. Nice pool (bathing caps) restaurant (OK) with a great view of the pool and surrounding Tuscan landscape! Minimal highway noise , for us not disturbing at... all . Small store , I would recommend shopping outside in the nearest villages . Bus to Florence about 5,- Eur . Ideal also by car - from the quiet CP in rural surroundings in 20 min. in Florence , would visit again .Traduzido automaticamente.
- Sina B.September 2017PositivosThe friendliness at reception is outstanding.Place good, restaurant not so goodFriendly reception on site. You can find peace and quiet with some compromises. We were there at the end of September. Pool was no longer cleaned. Full of green algae!!! Unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant. I complained about the calcone I ordered. It was filled with 2 slices of ham and white goo. Waitress ripped it out of my hand and threw it in the trash and I was kicked out of the store. Thanks again.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Kerstin J.June 2017PositivosBus stop to FlorenceNegativosCleanliness of the sanitary facilitiesCampsite to visit FlorenceWe visited the campsite with the motorhome in order to be able to visit the city of Florence by public transport (bus). The pitches are fine. The highway is audible. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was not that great and could therefore be improved. The staff were always friendly. The small store on the campsite was very expensive.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Ulf D.May 2017Large square with restaurantvery good sanitary, good restaurant open, large pool; highway within earshot, but not disturbingTraduzido automaticamente.
- Gu B.September 2016PositivosPlace good starting point for a visit to FlorenceNegativosCleanliness of the sanitary facilitiesPlace near Florence, well suited for sightseeingThe pitch was fine, the staff very friendly and helpful. Bus stop almost in front of the entrance to the campsite, tickets are available at reception and are also very cheap. The bus ride to Florence is adventurous, but fun. The sanitary facilities were apparently not cleaned regularly. Bread rolls are available in the small store. The food in the restaurant was good and the price was okay. Drinks were a bit overpriced, the staff were very nice.Traduzido automaticamente.
- AP L.June 2016PositivosBeautifully laid out, great for visiting Florence and the surrounding area.NegativosStore completely overpriced. Very remote, inconvenient journey.Place with pros and consThe first thing we noticed very positively was how nice and friendly we were received. The pitch was not even half full and we were able to choose a place that suited us. The pitches are terraced and pleasantly large, no sitting close together with the neighbor. The sanitary facilities were nice but... (perhaps because we were there over the weekend) not quite as well maintained but still ok. There is a bus to Florence right outside the campsite and tickets are easy to get at reception. Now to the negative things. The pool and restaurant do not belong to the campsite but to the municipality. This means that at the weekend there are lots of local bathers in the pool, which isn't too big anyway. First of all, the store is not very well stocked and is also completely overpriced. The nearest shop isn't exactly around the corner either. The campsite is also right next to the highway and, depending on the wind direction, we could hear the traffic quite well.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Oliver L.August 2015PositivosLocation, tranquility, restaurantNegativosSomewhat inconvenient approachNice and pleasantly quiet place in a great starting point for visits to FlorenceWe stayed at Il Poggetto for three nights with the caravan and were very satisfied. Great location in the Tuscan hills only 20 minutes by car from Florence old town. Very friendly staff, great pizzeria on site with terrace and view of the pool and the hinterland. The highway that actually runs right past the campsite didn't bother us.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Daniel P.August 2015PositivosWonderful location, beautiful pitches, starting point for culture, nature and bargain shopping,NegativosFreeway clearly audible depending on the pitch, cumbersome approach, many small mosquitoesbeautiful location (despite the highway...!)Just a few steps from the campsite and you're in picture-book Tuscany! Vineyards, cypress avenues, olive groves... In contrast, the high-end fashion outlet in the valley with Japanese and Russians. Ideal for trips to Florence: 30 minutes by car, 50 minutes by public bus... Everything was clean, well-kept... and surprisingly empty for the end of August: parts of the square were already closed. Too bad, the place would have deserved more visitors! Small disadvantages: The highway runs right next to the site (but it's still a long way from the highway) and small, nasty mosquitoes--Traduzido automaticamente.
- Franziska R.September 2014In the heart of Tuscanyin a quiet location, well-kept facilities and very clean sanitary facilities, a small kiosk and a great restaurant can be found on site, WLAN is chargeable, something peculiar is that in the existing swimming pool a swimming cap is mandatory, good connection to Florence, slight highway noiseTraduzido automaticamente.
- Claus R.August 2014wellWe only stayed one night. The lady at reception doesn't speak Italian and repeats sentences she has learned by heart. ID cards are withheld and only handed over on insistence. Beer is only available uncooled - prices in the "supermarket" are overpriced. Water tap far away. Unsuitable as an overnight stay - long narrow approach from the A1. Pitch + 2 persons 37€ !!!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Konrad D.June 2014PositivosShady, not too small pitches, nice pool, well-stocked store, good restaurantNegativosNights relatively loud due to highway proximityNice, clean place, large pool, well-stocked store, friendly staffVery friendly staff, both at reception and in the store. It is very well equipped, even with dental floss(!) and products from the region. Pizzas very good (we took them home) and not too expensive. The restaurant terrace has a beautiful view. The pool was clean, the pitches shady, water on the main... paths. Very good starting point to visit Florence by bus. Unfortunately - at least during our stay - the highway was audible all night. Slightly disturbing.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Albonetti T.September 2013We were traveling to Italy as a couple with two dogs, a 6.5m motorhome and a trailer incl. Smart. I chose this Tuscany campsite based on the reviews on this site. And the choice was the right one! One of the best campsites I have visited so far. Even the friendliness of the reception staff was SUPER.... (Only Italian and English are spoken, as in most of Tuscany) We chose a pitch in the lower part of the campsite. It was nice and quiet, only from the nearby highway you could hear the sirens of the police or the ambulance from time to time. We used the store and restaurant at the campsite itself. The prices were OK. The only thing that bothered me was that you immediately got a glass of sparkling wine in the restaurant, which was again 4€ on the bill... Sanitary facilities were always clean, whether WC or shower. There are also washing machines (4€) & dryers (3€) in a separate laundry room. Florence can be reached by bus, bus stop directly at the campsite. We used our car because of the 2 dogs. However, we would say that Florence by car is not recommended in the high season. If you have time you should not drive on the highway, because the Chianti country has a lot of beautiful things that you will not find in travel guides!!! If we are traveling in Tuscany again, we will visit this campsite again! The approach should be as indicated on the campsite's website, especially if you are traveling with a caravan or large motorhome. Unfortunately I had ignored this... :) mfg TommyTraduzido automaticamente.
- Michaela M.September 2012Beautifully situated camping site. Very clean sanitary facilities. The staff were always super friendly and helpful. The site has a nice swimming pool. However, you need swimming caps, but that didn't bother us. The pizzas at the take-away restaurant are really tasty, but a bit expensive. The site and... the surrounding area are very quiet, so you can really relax there. Siena and Florence are easy to reach from there. There is a bus stop about 500 m from the campsite where buses leave for Florence, but I would recommend using the car.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Cris A.August 2011Hey guys! I stayed in Italy 3 weeks, and I haven't found before nothing better than this campsite! It was great! Cheap and pretty!!! The staff, other people doesen't matter in what age, really great!!! Recomended!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Adam W.July 2011Great place for everyone, very much to explore in the area and a lot of opportunities for sports activities! Horses, quads, ropes, swimming pool, animation from the campsite.... Food super, but as it is known abroad, a little expensive, but you can survive, as for the rest there is no doubt, a very good campsite!!!Traduzido automaticamente.

- Oliver S.August 2010Nice place in a good location to Florence. Highway audible but well bearable. Access from the highway via approx. 9 km winding mountain road. A first-class winery nearby. For children: nice playground and separate children's washroom with toilets, washbasin and showers. Swimming caps are compulsory in... the beautiful pool (in my opinion complete nonsense and just a money-making exercise, swimming caps cost 1.50 euros in the market). Food is available on site in the next village or in the direction of Florence.Traduzido automaticamente.
