Many of the pitches have a beautiful view of the Flensburg Fjord. A walk on the Gendarme Trail Lace up your hiking boots, pack a packed lunch and go for a walk on the historic Gendarme Trail, which winds 84 kilometres along the fjord from Padborg to Høruphav on Als and just past the site. Sønderjysk kaffebord and Dybbøl Mølle Gråsten Slot serve the very large South Jutland coffee table at Den Gamle Kro, so it might be a good idea to start with a walk around the park. There is almost a duty to drive to Dybbøl Mill at Sønderborg and loose ticket to Historiecenter Dybbøl Banke, where there are soldiers, guided tours, etc. in the season.
