There is also only one water tap. Not necessarily bad for campers, but worth mentioning.Very nice terraced nature campsiteIn light autumn muddy weather we were with the caravan on the pitch at the very back, down directly on the water. If it rains, you should wear sturdy shoes. The gravel was washed away a bit here, but it wasn't too bad. Otherwise fantastic, but a bit far to the sanitary building.
I really like the showers... with hand showers and timers. The cabins are 2-part and there are enough of them. The whole sanitary concept fits perfectly, e.g. as a spectacle wearer no problems with fogged up glasses when showering - perfect ventilation! We also have to praise the cleanliness, except when some campers can't use the water slide or trample into the shower with their flip-flops and make a mess...
Bread rolls are only available as a set of 4: 2 light and 2 dark ones in a bag for €3. This may not suit everyone, but it was just right for both of us.
Electricity is unlimited, which is no longer available everywhere.
The restaurant was highly recommended, but is now being completely remodeled. It remains to be seen whether the offer will change.
Overall a very quiet site, good location at 600 meters above sea level, conveniently located between Goslar and Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Perhaps a tip for hikers: we discovered the rocky hiking area near the Oker dam last evening. We phoned to find out whether there was still a pitch available for a camper van in the desired period.
The lady on the phone gave us competent and very friendly information and asked us to make a reservation by e-mail afterwards....
We then complied with this request and a short time later we already had a reservation confirmation.
The arrival went smoothly, as did the check-in.
Everything was explained to us (pitch, electricity, wash house, bread service etc.).
The campsite is located directly on a lake and is laid out in terraces.
The ground is mainly gravel and the pitches are separated by low rows of bushes.
The electricity connection is located directly on the pitch, drinking water centrally at the wash house.
The sanitary facilities are very inviting and absolutely clean. There was never any reason to complain about the level of cleaning.
The showers are generously sized and there are plenty of toilets and washbasins.
The disposal station (gray water and chemical toilet) is located next to the wash house.
There is also a machine for emptying and cleaning the toilet cassette.
The reception:
As already described, the staff are very friendly/nice and always concerned about the camper's well-being.
Information about the surrounding area was provided willingly and competently and they also responded in a friendly manner to repeated inquiries.
There is a small store attached to the reception.
Surroundings:
The campsite is close to Hahnenklee, the Bockberg with its summer toboggan run and the bike park.
You can reach the summit on foot, by bike or by lift.

Great starting point for hikes or a trip to Goslar, Bad Harzburg etc.

The little lake is perfect for swimming, hiking trails are right next door. The staff is outstanding, personal and friendly. The location is great for exploring the area. We noticed at the campsite: someone knows their trade here and the renovation/maintenance is extremely professional.
Even now, shortly after Corona and lockdown, a new children's playground is being built/extended.
