The pitches are large, level and have a nice lawn. The campsite is located away from Bad Abbach and has a café. However, there are no other restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The location of the site is quiet and... ideal for excursions to Regensburg, Kelheim and Weltenburg Abbey.
The sanitary facilities were always clean and access is via a code. Unfortunately, there were several problems with the locking mechanism in the disabled sanitary room I used. What I can't understand at all in such a new sanitary building is that the door of the disabled sanitary room only has a passage width of approx. 70 cm! Even with my very narrow electric wheelchair, this was a challenge every time. The sanitary facilities are attractive. The size of the pitches is very pleasant. The WiFi also works, although it's better to use your own cell phone as a hotspot for streaming.

The site owner's daughter is a master confectioner.
But there is also a snack bar for those passing through in the evening and a good breakfast in the morning from 8.00 am.
Regensburg, the Danube valley and Altmühltal are nearby, we almost stayed there for our vacation.

Outside the small spa town of Bad Abbach and just under 20 km from Regensburg, this site is located close to the Danube. The site is laid out in terraces and has two different pitch sizes. The central sanitary building is located... in the middle of the site. It is modern and practically furnished. However, if the site is fully booked, there is not enough space. The daughter of the house has opened a café next to the campsite. There are delicious homemade cakes here - be sure to try them. Bread roll service and drinks are available at the reception, other shopping facilities in Bad Abbach. There are many sightseeing opportunities from the campsite (Regensburg, Kelheim), and you can also cycle along the Danube, for example. The vacation pitches are laid out at different heights and are nice and large. You can see far into the countryside. There is a reasonable waiting area for arrivals in front of the site. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean. The operators... are friendly people. Bread rolls can be ordered and there is also a café. The train station to Regensburg is within easy reach, ideal for a stroll through the city. The Danube cycle path is in the immediate vicinity, so Bad Abbach can be reached quickly by bike. If you want entertainment and a party, you should camp somewhere else. We liked the place very much: friendly staff, very clean sanitary facilities, generally well-kept grounds, island café with a nice breakfast/snack offer. We went to the Inselbad - about 5 minutes on foot. One of the nicest outdoor pools we've been to so far.
