"Camping without stress - The mountains so close. Quiet. People all relaxed and happy. Children can play all day and discover nature. Barbecue around the campfire in the evening. Hiking, mountain biking, swimming, climbing during the day. Staff very pleasant and friendly. We will definitely be back soon!

"Cemitoilet emptying rip-off - Rolf Schmid 2/5 1 day ago on Google A very nice campsite. Very clean and the staff exemplary and always friendly. We have been on vacation with the motorhome for over 40 years, but this is the first campsite where disposing of the chemical toilet costs something and you can't believe your eyes, it costs € 13.50 once !!!! That's a rip-off on a grand scale. It's easy to do the math with 15-20 liters per disposer, so the municipality would have to charge €675 for 1 m³? This could lead to one or two "fillings" ending up where they are certainly not supposed to. Actually, this should be free of charge for everyone (including those passing through) --- hundreds of municipalities are showing how it's done. (We're talking about a "national park" here - the management should think about that). The next hammer came just around the corner when I used this disposal point. Everything was newly tiled and the sink was a normal toilet at a nonsensical height.... Here the "site manager" has never heard of hygiene and design standards, there are special sinks exactly for this purpose, even a sink that you can wash your hands as well as a floor drain and a hose to spray out are completely missing (this design alone is already a cheek). Yes, camping (Womo) has increased incredibly, but this is the wrong way to protect nature, actually you (national park, forestry company) should convince the vacationers (who also consume something) to behave properly and not alienate them with such a disposal rip-off.

"Everything simply fits here. - It was actually still summer, but the weather agreed with the forecast and the weekend was cool and rainy. Nevertheless, we came to the Gesäuse and the Forstgarten near Johnsbach for a day of hiking and were not disappointed. From the warm welcome to the catering. Everything is just right here. Although the campsite is small, it is in a quiet, central location and the surroundings and the panoramic mountain backdrop are of course beautiful. The sanitary facilities are always spotlessly clean, the communal area is cozy, the people are relaxed and there are fresh pastries for breakfast. The River Enns flows almost right next to the campsite, and if it were a little warmer, I would love to take a dip in the water. But I'll leave that for today, because we'll be back and it's sure to work out. After all, we've found a little piece of the mountains to feel good here.

"Pure nature - The campsite has a large central meadow and smaller meadow terraces. Some areas are reserved for tents only. The site is surrounded by tall trees, forests and a fantastic mountain panorama. An ideal place for those seeking peace and quiet, hikers and white water rafters. The reception is very friendly. The sanitary facilities consist of sanitary containers integrated into a wooden hut. The space is quite limited and the facilities are basic, but the showers are clean and warm.

Profil

Forstgarten Campsite in the heart oft he Gesäuse National Park is beautifully located in the middle of dreamy mountain scenery, surrounded by woods and meadows at the foot of Planspitze. The 10.000 m² site on the banks of the River …Enns offers space for some 100 guests. Gravelled pitches with power hook-up offer optimum prerequisites for trailers and RVs such as a disposal station for chemical toilets. Two dormitories with small kitchens and large social rooms are perfectly suited for groups of students or youths numbering up to 30. Holiday flats with kitchens and designated dorm room for four people. The campsite has a large green area with beach volleyball and children’s playground, fireplaces with barbecue facilities and a swimming area directly on the River Enns. The small village of Gstatterboden with its national park pavilion can be reached in five minutes on foot. It makes an ideal starting point for mountain tours in the surrounding area, for the Hochscheibe mountain bike tour and the Ennsbodenweg trail as well as rafting tours on the Enns River. Many visitor facilities of the National Park (Weidendom, Ecological Footprint, Geology Exhibition, Educational Trail, Lettmair-Au trail, Rauchboden, Trail of Legends) are found in the immediate vicinity. Holländisch: Camping Forstgarten Gstatterboden De Camping Forstgarten in het hart vn het nationale park Gesäuse ligt prachtig middenin een schitterend Berglandschap, omringd door bossen en weides aan de voet van de Planspitze. Het 10.000 m² grote terrein aan de oever van de Enns biedt ruimte aan ongeveer 100 bezoekers. Stelplaatsen met grind en stroom bieden ook caravans en campers optimale voorwaarden, zoals een station om chemische toiletten te legen. Twee ruimtes met matrassen, een kleine keuken en een grote gemeenschapsruimte zijn geschikt voor scholieren en jongeren in groepen tot 30 personen. Vakantiewoning met keuken en eigen slaapkamer voor vier personen. De camping heeft een groot grasveld met beachvolleybalveld, kinderspeelplaats, plaatsen voor kampvuur en barbecue en zwemgelegenheid direct aan de Enns. Op vijf minuten loopafstand ligt het plaatsje Gstatterboden met het paviljoen over het Nationale Park. Een ideaal startpunt voor bergtochten in de omgeving, voor het mountainbike-parkoers „Hochscheibe“ en de Ennsbodenweg, alsook om te raften op de Enns. Veel bezoekersvoorzieningen van het Nationale Park (Weidendom, ecologische voetafdruk, geologische tentoonstelling, themaroute, Lettmair-Au, Rauchboden, Sagenweg) bevinden zich in de directe omgeving.
