Profil
The camping Camping Monte Rosa is a small campsite in Valle Anzasca, one of the seven valleys of Val d'Ossola. The campsite was founded in 1962 by the Cattrini family. In addition to their work at the village school, they … started the camping duringthe summer in front of the family home. Camping Monte Rosa has an authentic atmosphere. Luca, the owner , is committed to create a unique back to nature experience. The area The campsite is located in Val d'Ossola at 664 meters altitude. At the end of the valley, the mountain massif Monte Rosa starts which is also compared to the Himalayas. The Monte Rosa (4634 meters) is the highest mountain group of the Alps after the Mont Blanc and forms the border between Italy and Switzerland. During the winter, the area is a great place for skiing and in the summer a beautiful hiking environment. The walking tracks are easily accessible from the campsite, both on foot and by car. Within 15 minutes, you are in Macugnaga where you can take a cable car to greater heights. From that point onwards you can even walk to Switzerland! In addition, the campsite is a good starting point to discover Northern Italy with its beautiful lakes.
