"Centrally located place to get to know the Ile de Re - Easter 2017: Small campsite. Very many bungalows, which left a well-kept impression from the outside. Pitches: Approx. 30 pitches with grass/sand, approx. 80-120 m² in size. Electricity partly via cable - but available on all pitches. Partial supply and waste water. Little to no shade on the pitches. Very friendly staff (also English-speaking). Great small but large enough pool area and new play equipment in the playground - really well done. Restaurant recommended. Small road with extremely little traffic between the actual site and the pool/play area and the restaurant (not a happy solution, but no problem with children who can already look right and left - shoulder in the road to calm traffic). Baguettes and croissants can be reserved and picked up. Great bike connection to Ars-en-re. Getting to the tip of the island (be sure to visit the "Phare des Baleines" lighthouse!) is a little difficult along the road or take a detour in the direction of Ars. Then it's safer - especially with children. Cycling generally very good. Bike rental on site. Beautiful beach can be reached by bike in 5 minutes. From our point of view, the ideal location for getting to know the island.
