"Very small place by the lake - Cosy, small campsite beautifully situated between mountains on a lake. A reservation is certainly recommended. I stopped by twice spontaneously. Once there was no space, but I was recommended two alternatives nearby (approx. 20km). Small restaurant/bar (so-so), helpful staff. Unfortunately a bit noisy from the nearby road.

"A haven of peace on the journey home - June 2019: Over Whitsun the place was well booked, but we were lucky to get something and the next day the situation was more relaxed again. The bar/restaurant was very busy, but again we didn't test it. The bakery and butcher in the village are highly recommended. Nice excursions in the area. Status 2018: We were only looking for a place to stay overnight and found this site via the ACSI CampCard guide. We were impressed by the surrounding landscape and the location of the site on this beautiful lake. We were completely satisfied with everything, but we didn't want to go out to eat, we just wanted to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. This site offered us just that. We didn't notice any highway noise, perhaps the wind was favorable? On the contrary, it was really wonderfully quiet and idyllic - of course, it may be different when everything is full.

"Location great, toilets a cheek - The location on the lake is very nice. The size of the CP is pleasantly manageable. Wonderful panorama from the few pitches with lake view. The water in the lake has a great blue-green color and is quite clear (when it has rained heavily, the inflow washes in many suspended particles and the water becomes somewhat cloudy. At the beginning of September, the water temperature was 14 degrees. Too cold for swimming without neoprene. It's just a mountain lake. A lot of short-term visitors, at least in the off-season. Because of its proximity to the highway (comes out of the tunnel directly above the campsite), it is well used as a stopover on the way to and from the south. The standard pitches are small and open on all sides. The more expensive Comfort pitches are larger and usually have a view of the lake. The sanitary facilities are absolutely inadequate. There are only two (2) toilets each for women and men on the entire campsite. A third disabled toilet remained permanently locked. You have to bring your own toilet paper. The three showers per gender are also too few - strangely enough, the disabled shower was open. Due to the lack of drainage in the cubicles, you are always standing in cold shower water after showering. With full occupancy in high season, I imagine the situation with toilets and showers to be catastrophic. A real cheek at the price of 28,- € (2 pers without dog comfort pitch with lake view). There is a daily service for baguettes and croissants (order the day before) and simple snacks during the day and in the evening. A restaurant on the pitch next door cooks ONLY for its own guests... In 6 days at the campsite, I never managed to catch a smile from the elderly couple who run it. So there is still plenty of room for improvement in terms of friendliness. Incidentally, the highway hardly disturbs you - depending on the wind direction. At night you could hardly hear it at all.

"Quiet place to relax - Stayed here for one night while passing through. Quiet, clean site in a very nice location. Terrain slightly sloping but with wedges no problem to level the vehicle.

"Beautiful transit area - Pitch on a beautiful lake. We only booked one night with CSI and were therefore referred to the pitch next to the restaurant and told that there was no possibility to dispose of toilet and waste water. Unfortunately, the pitches next to the campsite have no direct access to the lake. Restaurant OK but a bit expensive, small portion of pasta with sugo and warm vegetable salad for 20 euros.

"Quiet, very friendly, only the water is cold - We were there for 3 days at the end of May 2018 - as a stopover on the way to Tuscany. Air temperature > 27 degrees, water felt like 10 degrees. Probably because it's a mountain lake. The site and the sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. The pitches are shady and mostly flat. Unfortunately, the number of toilets and showers is small, but with a bit of planning this can also be managed. Breakfast pastries are only available by prior arrangement, the coffee and drinks selection and quality is very good. The operators are very friendly and helpful.
