"Au bout du lac - The Lac d'Annesy is probably one of the most popular destinations in France. Great natural scenery and a balanced variety of landscapes. We were 'Au bout du Lac', at the end of the lake. We had chosen the campsite on the assumption that the view and accessibility of the lake would be relatively easy, but this was far from the truth. The campsite is located in an annex (terraces) away from the lake and so we were forced to walk uphill to reach the lake. Idem cycling. Once there, you reached the 'Piste cyclable'. Hiking trails possible and signposted at the CP. Public transport on the main road by the lake. Ascents and descents here too. Lake was only visible to a limited extent. Water landscape offers relaxation or fun for all ages.

"Somewhat disappointing - Situated on a slope, the walk to the lake turns into a mountain hike, which is rather a sweaty affair in summer temperatures. The pitches are mostly sloping. It is not possible to set up the WW or WM straight without a drive-on wedge. The store is only stocked with the bare essentials, but usually at reasonable prices. The ladies at reception were very friendly and spoke several languages. The aqua park is exceptionally beautiful and large for children. The biggest negative point, however, is the super-polite supervision of the swimming shorts ban. Although there are many other bans that would make perfect sense, such as jumping into the water or not allowing non-swimmers on the large slides with deep catch basins, only people wearing swimming shorts and children who took a small toy air mattress or a small ball into the water were reprimanded. And this despite the fact that there were various dangerous points that were not rectified during an entire wank. For example, several of the surrounding glass panes were broken so that children could have seriously cut themselves on them. One of the pool lamps had been lying on the edge of the pool for several days and a separate area in the pool area, which should have been used for planting, was simply empty, so that there was only dirt and garbage and a considerable risk of injury due to the exposed sharp edges. In addition, the covers of the sockets were missing in various cabins in the sanitary facilities and some open contacts were visible. As hygiene and safety are obviously dealt with very arbitrarily here, I unfortunately cannot recommend this place.

" - Top campsite with great facilities for families. Unfortunately, the campsite is not directly on the lake. The beautiful landscape invites to numerous excursions. Very nice site management. Great pool area for young and old.
