"Impossible groundsman - A nice place in itself. However, the management staff need a course on how to deal with non-Dutch customers with a focus on German-speaking campers. The one star was only awarded for very quiet neighbors.

"Short vacation - Absolutely quiet location. All you can hear in the evening is nature. The area is easy to explore by bike. Relaxation is guaranteed.

"empathy - What a nice campsite this seemed to us in 2020, only older people and nice and quiet. We booked a pitch for 4 weeks in the preseason. Unfortunately the flu pandemic raged, especially in Limburg and Brabant, and cancelled it. It was not possible, did have a voucher for half the amount, valid until the end of September 2021. To help this campsite through that difficult time, we helped them accept this voucher for 265 euros and paid this amount. Unfortunately, my wife became very ill in spring 2021 and wanted a refund of the amount paid. This was also not possible because the voucher was still valid for the whole season 2021 and we could come back to this later. After my wife became incurably ill, underwent several operations in the Anthony of Leeuwenhoek hospital, radiation and chemotherapy treatments, it appeared that we could never camp again. This submitted to the campsite the Maashoeve, and asked for the amount of 265 euros can get back, they have after all in the Corona time can use our money and are there financially helped when Limburg, Brabant and the whole country was upside down. But caterpillar never enough did not give home, just lose your money. Any empathy with their older and vulnerable guests, which is after all their target group, is totally absent at camping de Maashoeve. We see these campground managers as people with dollar signs in their eyes and totally unfit as hosts (women). I'm sure it's a nice campground but if you would ask me and my deathly ill wife, without any camping future, we would never recommend this campground. Hospitality has to be earned, but not in this moneyed way. This campground does not get a single star from us.

"Super campsite - We can recommend this campsite without reservation. The pitches are very large and divided by high hedges. Anyone looking for peace and relaxation will feel indescribably at home here. The sanitary facilities are always (!!!) absolutely clean. You can go on wonderful cycling tours and eat inexpensively in one of the small villages. The surrounding towns (e.g. Maastricht or Thorn) are also worth a visit. We will spend our vacation there again.

"A great place - We stayed here for 4 days over Corpus Christi. Extremely friendly welcome. Very nice pitch, large and clean, graveled with a beautiful lawn in front of the door. Separated by hedges. Cars are securely parked directly behind the pitches. The site is very well maintained, the sanitary facilities super clean. The audience is 50+. This means: no shouting and no noise until late at night, very responsible use of the facilities, very friendly and open-minded towards other campers. If you're looking for peace and quiet and want to go cycling along the Meuse from here, this is the place for you.

" - We went there for a planned two weeks based on the reviews. However, the weather let us down, so after a week it was too wet... I wouldn't really describe the site as an "insider tip". There's no question that it's nicely laid out, the pitches are large enough and have hedges and trees. The sanitary facilities are clean. However, I have to make some concessions here, as I miss the male/female division. You can use any toilet/shower in the small wash house, but at least the shower area is separate in the larger one. Reception is open for one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. There are no shopping facilities on site. Nearest bakery 5 minutes on foot, supermarket 5 km away. Only the fishing opportunity directly opposite is wonderful for anglers. Otherwise, of course, you can fish anywhere in the immediate vicinity with the appropriate license. Cycling as everywhere in Holland flawless. Therefore very suitable for those seeking peace and relaxation (apart from the calf on the neighboring meadow, freshly separated from its mother, bleating half the night), as there is absolutely nothing for children around and the age structure on the site was in the 50+ range. Conclusion: a nice place, some compromises in the sanitary facilities, but very quiet. I will definitely go there again for fishing.
