Small campsite with clean sanitary facilities in the upper area
While looking for a campsite near the Parco nationale Gran Paradiso, we found this place by chance. The access is very inconspicuous and is via a small forecourt of the associated hotel (hostel) with restaurant. The pitches are on two levels, the sanitary facilities are in the upper area directly under... the hotel building. We only encountered two permanent campers (in huts), the business was practically still in 'hibernation'. Nevertheless, the sanitary facilities were well heated and the lever under each washbasin to turn on the (hot) water took some getting used to. The operator was very courteous, but was only seen briefly. The site is only a few minutes' drive from the entrance to the Gran Paradiso National Park. Dogs were welcome on site (but dogs are not allowed in the national park - not even on a lead!).
