Camping Arco Lido is getting worse and worse
We have been coming here regularly for almost 10 years, often several times a year. But each time it gets more and more unacceptable and this was the last time.
The barrel is overflowing.
You have to pay for the entire period from the outset.
No refund if you leave early. You are also not allowed to... "pass on" the pitch!
Even if you are alone, you have to pay for 2 people.
If you have a trailer with you, you have to pay an additional €7 per day. Even if the trailer is parked on the pitch you have already paid for.
The campsite particularly promotes surfers and was the reason we decided to come here.
Unfortunately, there is now virtually no access to the beach.
The actual surfing area at the mouth of the Sacre is virtually closed off for regattas for the entire season.
The area on the right is occupied by the surf school.
If you ask about this, the reaction is sometimes very aggressive.
Complaints to the authorities are ignored and the campsite management claims to know nothing about it.
There is no information about the closures on official websites.
My conclusion is that there are more hospitable and cheaper areas.

Clean but sometimes very narrow pitches
Arco Lido was my fourth campsite in the last 20 years in the surfers' paradise of Torbole. The most important thing first; I would go there again. It is far away from the busy road to and from Riva and is very quiet apart from the activities of the optimists. Sanitary facilities were fine, there are... always a few who can't use a toilet brush. The staff were very nice, which I have experienced differently on other campsites.
Shopping facilities available on site. And the site is right on the water. Rig stands and board stands are available to a limited extent and the campsite also has a large room for bicycles. Fortunately, I was able to reserve one of the few pitches in advance, which is why I ended up on the pitch. What really disappointed me were the corona rules! Although a mask was pointed out at the registration desk and in the small supermarket and there were additional disinfectant dispensers everywhere at the toilets and showers, which were always full, neither a negative test was required nor was a vaccination status checked at check-in. That doesn't happen in Germany. The narrow spaces are sometimes borderline and it always depends on the respective neighbor. The good thing is that you can choose which pitch you want from the usually small number of free pitches, which is something else I know from other campsites.
Overall, I liked it very much and would recommend it and go there again myself.

The location is great, the sanitary facilities are probably quite new but simply illogically laid out and therefore not clean. The many dogs on the site were not our cup of tea, all too often we had to see where the dogs peed everywhere (and were also left by their owners), there was also a poop on our pitch which we only discovered after setting up.

Operator is not interested in safety at all. The same scam over and over again, how bikes are stolen.
Landscape dream-first impression unfriendly-bikes have often been stolen
8 bicycles were stolen by a gang of thieves at night on 24.8.2017. Not an isolated case.

It's a pity that this fantastic location is only recommended for hard-boiled sailing fans who can take care of their needs on the open sea, because it was completely overwhelmed because it was probably overcrowded.

Bardzo ładnie położony bezpośrednio przy plazy, trasie rowerowej, wypozyczalnia lodzi, surfingow, przepiękne widoki. Z dala od drogi samochodowej, do centrum Torbole niecały kilometr.

The pitch is right on the lake. Through a door you can reach the jetty of the sailing and surf club to bring your boat or surfboard to the water. It is a 2 km walk to Riva, the shopping facilities on the site are limited to a mini-market, discount stores are about 3 km away. Positive features of the... site are the large trees and the proximity to the water with surfing facilities and a beach. The showers are free and cramped, but the toilets are larger, but without toilet seats and paper. The site is well suited for exploring the surrounding area by car, motorcycle and bicycle, but you should check out the sanitary facilities beforehand or accept them because of the good location for sailing and surfing. Worth mentioning are the trout farm and the winery with direct sales directly on Via Linfano in the direction of Arco, still very easy to reach by car, delicious fish and wine for little money.

The location directly on the lake and yet close to the Garda mountains makes this campsite ideal for water sports enthusiasts, but also for climbers/mountaineers. Internet is also available on site for a fee. The only slight criticism: one evening the store was closed well before the specified closing time. We will be back...
