Good campsite near Llanberis to experience the Snowden.
Very nice campsite near Snowden
For those who want to climb Snowden, or take the train up and then hike in the beautiful mountains of Snowden, this site is in a great location. It is only 3 miles to Llanberis, about 5 minutes by car. The site is a little off the main road, relatively quiet and reasonably priced for campers with tents.... The sanitary facilities are not far from the tent area and very clean. There is a small bakery in the immediate vicinity. When you come in, you are right in the bakery ...nice. In Llanberis you have many opportunities to experience the mountains of Snowden. The whole place lives from hiking and mountaineering. A recommendation there would be Pet's Eats. A restaurant/pub with a charm all of its own. Very reasonably priced - British - food. A meeting place for many young people / hikers. There is also free wifi and sockets everywhere where you can charge your devices. We were thrilled.
