- S A.November 2024Positive tinggood parking options. a lot dog walking areas around. staff friendlyNegative tinglimit of 14 days longest stay. visitors have to pay 45 pounds feeFunny placeI stayed here a bit longer than expected as I work in London too. the staff is very friendly but the amount of security guards and especially cars and dogs were a bit odd. They are quite clever with sharing or not sharing their consents they have about you. very silent at night.
- Karsten K.August 2017Positive tingGood place to explore London .Negative tingSanitary facilitiesEnough for sightseeing!A beautiful place, unfortunately not a single tree far and wide. The pitches are spacious. Electricity on site, water and waste water not far away. The sanitary facilities really need an overhaul. They are in particular need of a thorough clean. The connection to London City seems to be good.Automatisk oversatt.
- Ursula R.July 2015Positive tingGood connection to the City of London.Negative tingToo few showers. No ticket sales at reception.Good connections to the City of LondonIf you take the M25 exit 25, the CP is easy to find. We booked three nights, price per night: GBP 33. The staff were friendly. The pitch was big enough. It is a typical tourist site for visitors to London. You have to enter the sanitary facilities with a code. Unfortunately, far too few showers (enough... toilets and washbasins). The showers were also very small, hardly any storage space. The washbasins are in a covered room; however, there are only three places. In my opinion, the sanitary facilities and sinks should be checked more often. Unfortunately, some campers don't always leave them tidy. The public transport connections to the city of London are good. There is a bus stop a short distance from the campsite. The train station is about a mile away. Unfortunately there was NO possibility to buy a ticket at the reception of the campsite, although it was possible according to the description. On the first day we wanted to take the bus to the next train station, but without a pre-purchased ticket this was not possible. Our credit cards didn't work on the bus reader either. So we had to walk to Ponders End to the train station to buy a Travel Card for one day from the machine (12 GBP per person, zones 1-6). The bus runs often, even on Sundays. The train ride from Edmonton Green to Liverpool Street takes about 30 minutes. We buy our travel cards for the next day here. Wi-Fi on the campsite only for a fee. There is a large movie theater next to the CP.Automatisk oversatt.
- Volli d.August 2014Positive tingLocationTop as a starting point to LondonWell-kept small site in the north-east of London, ideal as a base for visiting London. Friendly staff, clean facilities and well kept site. W-Lan unfortunately very expensive, and groceries not available on site ... not bad, if you come from London you can go to LIDL in Edmonton Green. We really liked it there. 3 nights/ 75 pounds is OK for a camper vanAutomatisk oversatt.
- sabine k.October 2013Very nice and friendly reception, staff very helpful. Clean and well-kept site with large pitches. Sanitary clean, but a bit tight, only 3 showers for the ladies. Foxes run across the site and like to raid the awning, including dog leads and shoes! The site is relatively quiet, you can hear trains, planes... and the highway, but it's not disturbing. Ideal for visitors to London. Buses run to the site late into the night. Perfect! Day tickets are available at reception (adult 8p, child 3.40p). There is a golf course, lakes and nature reserve all around. There are several large supermarkets and sports stores in the immediate vicinity. Snacks are also available on site, but unfortunately no bread or milk.Automatisk oversatt.
- Con T.August 2013Attention camper van travelers. Here, too, our camper van was rejected because it was self-built. On the grounds that it was not permitted to sleep in private cars. We were stunned. Nevertheless, we were allowed to buy a tent in the supermarket and pitch it next to our bus. We were not checked where... we slept. Unfortunately, I later overheard the nice lady who allowed us to spend the night being incredibly condescending about the cars next to us. The car was a Renault master, which had been lovingly converted into a camper van. Not againAutomatisk oversatt.
- Peter Z.August 2011Sorry, I made a mistake - my rating was for the "Lee Valley Camp site".Automatisk oversatt.
- Ritva B.August 2010relatively loud due to traffic noise, but well located for London trips, inexpensive day ticket for the whole of London available at receptionAutomatisk oversatt.
- Stefanie v.August 2010Stayed there in August 2010 (family with three children 12, 11 and 7). The place is clean, sanitary o.k. and clean, store without bread service, reception very friendly and helpful. Children's playground good. International clientele. Cinema complex and golf course 5 minutes' walk away. The bus stop... too. From there about four stops to Edmonton Green station (also supermarket ect. there for shopping on the way home from the city center. Three stops by train to Seven Sisters subway station. Then into the city. Tickets for the first trip into the city can be purchased at reception. All in all, highly recommended!Automatisk oversatt.
