"Nice place for sightseeing - Very nice pitch in relative proximity to the city center. The pitches are spacious and can be chosen freely on arrival. Very clean washrooms and toilets despite high occupancy (no waiting times at any time). We cycled from the pitch to the city center, which was very easy along the sea and via a cycle path on a former railroad line. The only downside is that there is no restaurant for dinner and no store in the immediate vicinity. Nevertheless, full marks for the place. Note: As newcomers to Scotland, this was the first time we recognized the advantage of a gravel pitch. Despite heavy rain, there was no mud on the doorstep and, thanks to the correct choice of stones, it was easy to walk on barefoot.

"Well located for sightseeing. Unfortunately aircraft noise3 - Very well-kept campsite. Extra small park for dogs - attention not completely fenced! Good and clean sanitary facilities, also with separate washbasins. Unfortunately close to the airport and therefore noisy from the airplanes. Great connection by bus to Edinburgh.

"By FAR the most expensive - but extremely well maintained - The site is extremely clean and well-kept, the staff friendly and helpful. But at 39 pounds (1 motorhome, 2 adults) it was by far the most expensive on our Scotland tour. The airport can't be ignored either, but it's not so bad that you can't sleep. The site is ideal for sightseeing trips to Edinburgh.

"Beautiful place - At the Camping and Caravan Club site in Edinburgh, the reception warned us about bike thieves when we checked in. On the very first night, an attempt was actually made to steal our beautifully laid out and well-kept site with friendly and helpful staff. Minibus (every half hour from the site) or public bus to Edinburgh city center. ATTENTION: At the Camping and Caravan Club site in Edinburgh, the reception warns you of bicycle thieves when you check in. On the very first night, an attempt was actually made to break into our bike locks. For this reason, the campsite offers special lockable containers for storing bikes, which you should use. This is not a devaluation of the campsite, on the contrary, the staff were always very open-minded and helpful in this matter. We would choose this campsite again at any time.

"Top for sightseeing - The sites of the British Caravanning Club are actually all in very good condition, so you can't really go wrong. The site is ideal for sightseeing in Edinburgh and the region. A tip if you are on the promenade along the waterfront. One kilometer to the west, you can use a path to a small island, but only at low tide.
