Positive ting
Spacious campsites, beautiful grounds, friendly and helpful owners
Negative ting
Unfortunately, there isn't a restaurant or snack bar right on the square, but a bakery, an ice cream shop/café, and several restaurants are just a few minutes' walk away.
A pleasant stay—in a quiet location
We were there in August with a small group during the Bartholomäusmarkt weekend. The campground is in a quiet location and easily accessible; it’s only about a 50-minute drive from Frankfurt. The nearby outdoor pool is a dream, and within walking distance you’ll find a bakery, several restaurants, and... shops. There are several supermarkets in the neighboring town. The campground is lovingly maintained, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We went hiking and climbed Engelberg, and from Mönchberg we took day trips to the surrounding area—to Miltenberg’s historic old town—and visited the castle and the Pompejanum in Aschaffenburg. All in all, a wonderful and relaxing weekend—we had a great time—highly recommended!

Positive ting
The space was hardly occupied. Therefore plenty of space.
Negative ting
Noisy, outdated, generally neglected. Sanitary facilities and washing-up area are an imposition.
Never again!
The site is located on two sides of roads and is affected by traffic noise, at least during the day. The sanitary facilities are completely outdated. The washing-up area is desolate. Hot water for flushing has to be fetched from the toilet with a bucket. Overall, the site gives the impression that nothing has been invested in for a long time.

Positive ting
Very large plots
Negative ting
unsuitable for families, sanitary facilities and washing-up area are an imposition
not a second time
The campsite is located directly on a main road that motorcyclists like to use to turn up, so nothing is quiet. What is otherwise described as quiet on the campsite is the emptiness, apart from a handful of permanent campers, the campsite is empty. These do not have to adhere to the rest periods and... driving bans during the lunch break.
The campsite can be described as desolate, lonely, boring and unsuitable for families.
There is no playground, no pool, no shopping facilities and no restaurant at the campsite. Everything is at least half a kilometer away.
The sanitary facilities are partially defective and the washing-up area is an imposition.
The pitches are huge, but parking your car costs a further €6.

Dear Adrian, apparently you have a completely different perception than most of our guests. We regret that you apparently didn't like it at our campsite and would have liked you to have informed us directly about any damage you apparently noticed, we always take care of things immediately!
Our campsite... is a small family business on the outskirts of Mönchberg. It is not located on a main road, as you described, but on the edge of a residential area on Campingstrasse. A country road runs behind the campsite, which is of course occasionally used by motorcyclists.
We attach particular importance to cleanliness and hygiene in the sanitary facilities. Long before Corona, we installed additional disinfectant dispensers in our washrooms and our washrooms are regularly cleaned and maintained. We are therefore unable to explain why some of the sanitary facilities are defective. At this point we would like to ask you again to inform us immediately if you notice any damage.
As our campsite does not have a barrier, we rely on our guests to observe the midday rest period on their own initiative. Parking in front of the campsite is free of charge. In order to keep traffic on the site as low as possible, we charge a fee for parking on the pitch.
As far as shopping facilities, restaurants and leisure activities in the surrounding area are concerned, you will find a local map with lots of information about Mönchberg at the registration desk:
Restaurant-Pizzeria Lili with beer garden: approx. 200m
Bakery Weigel, butcher's shop, post office: approx. 300m
Edeka Bauer: approx. 500m
Playground: approx. 350m
Spessartbad: approx. 550m
It's a pity that you found our site boring and desolate. Many of our guests and families appreciate the peace and quiet, the large plots surrounded by greenery and the lovingly planted flowers on our site.

Friendliness and cleanliness
With "extended family" at the campsite
On the occasion of a wedding celebration in the nearby fruit cellar, the Heiter family's campsite was perfect for two nights with the extended family (14 people). We had booked all five cottages with breakfast. The whole family was very happy with the facilities. The generous breakfast in particular was excellent! We lacked for nothing. Mrs. Heiter was helpful in every way and very, very friendly!

Nice campsite without unnecessary frills.
beautiful campsite on the outskirts of Mönchberg
I spent 1 night in my bus at the Heiter campsite after a wedding party. So it was rather functional. However, I can recommend the campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing time, with excursions into the countryside and to the very beautiful places in the surrounding area. Many thanks to Mrs. Heiter!

Positive ting
-located centrally in the village -very friendly -very clean and modern bathroom and toilets -pleasant ambience due to attention to detail
Super friendly campsite and beautiful area
We were in Mönchberg for the first time and are now very enthusiastic! The actual reason was a wedding in the "Alter Obstkeller". And as the campsite was just 100m away, it was clear that we would go there. We agreed with Mrs. Heiter (campsite owner) by e-mail that it could be a little later (after 8pm).... But no problem, even at 20:30 Mrs. Heiter was still there waiting for us. We were greeted in a very friendly manner even though it was already so late! Really great service! She briefly explained where everything was and what was available and we were able to start camping :-) The next morning we saw how beautiful the site actually is (see pictures). Lots of attention to detail, no matter where you are on the site. The washrooms are 1A. They may look old at first glance, but that doesn't change the fact that modern showers, toilets and washbasins are installed. And best of all, everything is tip-top clean. Great respect! The village is also a lovely spot, and the residents are all friendly and helpful. There is a playground at the nearby outdoor pool. So everything you need is also available in summer. The "Main" is about 7km away. We will be back and are already looking forward to it. Many THANKS again to the Heiter family for the short but nice stay

Positive ting
quiet, friendly & familiar ambience, original vacation cottages, everything very sour, restaurants and shopping facilities nearby
Negative ting
The sanitary facilities are very clean, well maintained and tidy but not newly renovated. For us that was ok.
Small, idyllic campsite between Frankfurt and Würzburg
We came across this campsite by chance and spent a weekend here in August. The pitches are comparatively large and nicely laid out so that you have your privacy. We rented a camping cottage, which was perfect for us. The campsite is an insider tip if you are looking for peace and relaxation. It's also... nice for the children, surrounded by greenery. The nearby swimming pool is great and there is also a café, restaurants and shopping facilities (supermarket, bakery, butcher etc.). We will definitely be back!
