very, very unfriendly
Not recommended: very unfriendly treatment of guests
We absolutely cannot recommend this campground because the people there are so unfriendly. Even when we checked in, we were made to wait a long time and were ultimately told to leave.

Detailed version:
When we arrived, we had to wait to check in because the campground attendant was on the phone—apparently... a personal call—for 10 to 15 minutes. Afterward, he listened to us and sent us off to pick out a spot ourselves. I came back, told him the spot, and he agreed.
We drove there and set up on the spot. Once there, we noticed that the electrical box was locked. No one had mentioned this to us, so we had to go back to the registration desk. By then, the groundskeeper was no longer there and didn’t show up for 30 minutes. In the meantime, a line formed, and we stood in the rain.
Finally, a woman arrived—apparently the owner. When we told her we’d already been waiting for 30 minutes, she reacted very unkindly. When she heard which spot we had taken, she said we couldn’t stay there and that we should take a paved spot because of the rain. Yet the groundskeeper had explicitly given us permission to use that spot earlier. When I then quietly complained about the long wait, we were immediately asked to leave.
We would have liked to see better organization upon arrival and, above all, respectful treatment of guests. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.

Positive ting
Central location, friendly and helpful people on site, manageable space
Negative ting
You just have to think for yourself a little
Very satisfied
We booked the pitch in advance and were able to extend it spontaneously, as the weather didn't initially play along as we wanted it to. This led to the muddy puddles mentioned by other commentators, which spoiled the cozy feeling outside the camper van. However, there are shoes and other rainwear, which... should be the responsibility of the respective excursionists...
...with children and other pets, we were able to get to all the places we wanted to go by bike without too much effort. The playground at the campsite is more for younger children, but the older ones can walk the 2km to the next big playground at the lake. The vacation was both eventful and relaxing.
The sanitary facilities... ...are not up to date, but they are clean, functional and were cleaned daily and checked several times.
Everyone enjoyed the food on site, even children and vegetarians.
All in all, a double thumbs up. If you want luxury, you should stay in a hotel and not camp... or complain afterwards. ...we thought it was great!

Positive ting
is very centrally located, I like the free choice of seats, restaurant on site friendly staff
Negative ting
the outdated sanitary facilities, which is basically ok, but... as these are also used by the (well-frequented) restaurant, they would have to be cleaned several times a day.
Easter 2025 it was beautiful
The disposal (waste water) for motorhomes should be reconsidered.
I don't think it's so good to have this directly at the toilet block, via this small shaft (metal tub). Especially as it used to be possible to drain water in front of the pitch, but now there are stones on it. For whatever reason...

Positive ting
Proximity to the lake Bread roll service restaurant
Negative ting
Dirty, Old, Pitches
Well, room for improvement
Were at the campsite for the weekend in October. Well... Advantage, the only place on the Tegernsee, so the operators will not change anything. Operators were nice and you were warmly welcomed.

Attention, don't forget your ID when you leave, it will be kept until the registration has been written. There... are probably no photocopiers.

WC / showers were not even cleaned over the 3 days. Wash house also quite old, could do with a renovation.
Wash house not heated, doors stand open, and that at 3 degrees in the morning. That makes showering and going to the toilet no fun.

After registering, you have to ask several times to be connected to the electricity. This is done by the groundsman, as you are charged by KW. So typically German. I also don't understand why 1 KW costs €0.70. I buy it at home for €0.32. The electricity costs are probably used to finance the lights on the pitch.

The pitches are all over the place and when it rains everything is muddy.
The maintenance of the pitches is also lacking. The permanent campers have swept up the leaves and they are lying in a heap...I think it will still be there next year.
Access to the camp is single lane and narrow.

Children's playground. We probably don't have one, but we walked the dog past it... Sad, broken, unkempt.

Positive:
The bread roll service from the inn works perfectly, and is reasonably priced. You can also eat well in the restaurant at a good price. However, you should make a reservation as the restaurant is full in the evening. The rooms lack cleanliness in some places.

Our conclusion:
We won't be coming back. We would have preferred to spend a few euros more and go to a well-kept campsite.
Or is that the German standard? We travel a lot, but so far we haven't found a campsite in Germany that comes close to the Croatian / Austrian / Slovenian ones.

Positive ting
The location is good and central, everything is easily accessible by bike
Negative ting
Outdated, impractical, unclean and partly defective sanitary facilities
Not recommended
We were there 2 years ago with the Womo, the place has deteriorated massively. Calls were not answered. Chaotic allocation of pitches/electricity, the pitches are neglected and the staff are overwhelmed, which led to unacceptable waiting times at check-in/out. The sanitary facilities are outdated, unclean and partially defective.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything here. But it is also difficult based on the duration.
Negative ting
Very poor sanitary facilities. Especially in times of Corona you expect more here.
not really recommendable over all
We have been visiting campsites for many years. We visit many of them several times. In this case, we left the very next day. We definitely cannot recommend it. Perhaps something should be invested. The information for the bread roll service was also not communicated on arrival. More could be done here.

The place is not recommended!
I cannot recommend this place. I called several times, even a message on the machine remained unanswered.
In response to the mail request - we will let you know "as soon as possible". I am still waiting for - promptly.
The reason is the exploded demand for campsites. The pitch was extended - head over... heels - to the meadow behind the pitch.
the meadow behind the pitch. After a rainstorm, large camper vans had to be pulled out of the mud with a tractor.
The san. The sanitary facilities were not up to the high demand for cleaning.
The lady at the registration desk was unfriendly and dismissive!
It will no longer be my pitch.

Super location
Negative ting
Sanitary facilities not particularly clean
Central on Lake Tegernsee
We stayed two nights at CP Wallberg with our motorhome. It is very centrally located on the Tegernsee, which can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. You can also be in Rottach-Egern in about 20-30 minutes. First of all, the good thing about the campsite: super helpful. Unfortunately, we got stuck... on one of the pitches (the pitch was very soggy and muddy due to all the rain). Someone came immediately and pulled us out of our misery. Our power cable was also too short, but we were gladly helped out. The restaurant on the pitch is highly recommended, the food is very good and the landlord is funny, we felt very comfortable there. Otherwise, the sanitary facilities are available, but you shouldn't have high expectations. Small and not particularly clean, but it was nice and warm. Somehow the campsite doesn't fit in with the rest of the Tegernsee. And a little bit of loving design just goes a long way. The pitches themselves were not in good condition, but that was probably due to the bad weather. However, the price was okay and the helpfulness of the staff convinced us:)

Positive ting
Reasonably priced, the only campsite on Lake Tegernsee,
Negative ting
unclean sanitary facilities
Good location, cheap but unclean sanitary facilities
The only campsite on Lake Tegernsee leaves a lot to be desired in some respects. Positive: Convenient location, Aldi and bus stop around the corner, reasonably priced. Negatives: the guest card, which includes the use of the local buses, is only issued on request, which also took a very long time, in... the event of problems, e.g. with the electricity connection, you have to ask several times and be patient until it is taken care of. Perhaps understandable in the high season, but this also means that vacationers miss a few hours. However, the biggest shortcoming is the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities! The strong smell of urine when entering the toilets speaks for itself. The toilet seats are sticky on the hinges, there is old dirt and dust at the bottom of the toilets and you don't want to touch the lids of the waste garbage cans! .... Nothing for friends of cleanliness! A great pity, because the sanitary facilities themselves would actually be quite attractive...

Positive ting
close to the Tegernsee
Negative ting
Hardly any water points
Campsite near the Tegernsee
The campsite is close to Lake Tegernsee, which is within easy walking distance. Just like Rottach-Egern. The campsite has 2 sanitary buildings and the one we used (entrance on the left) was always clean. The individual pitches vary in size and are not exactly subdivided. There was also a water point... right next to us, otherwise these are extremely rare on the site. Shopping (Aldi, butcher) less than 5 minutes on foot or just in Rottach-Egern. We liked it overall and we will certainly visit the place again.

Positive ting
Nice starting point at the lake, restaurant very good
Negative ting
Sanitary room unclean and strong odor, poor handling of guests with complaints, very expensive for a campsite in this condition
Not possible for the price
Toilets very unclean and smelly, showers very small and unclean. The registration and issuing of the guest card took almost a day whereby you can use the bus around the lake for free with the guest card on remark why it takes so long and I already had to spend a lot of money on the bus came the answer there you have to turn to the colleague tonight he is new and can not yet so

Positive ting
Good location
Negative ting
Sanitary facilities and no gullies for WW gray water
Super location on the Tegernsee. Place so-so
The good thing about the campsite is its location on the beautiful Tegernsee. There is a lot to do in the region in terms of leisure activities. The site is right next to Aldi, but you still have to walk quite a way there as there is no passage. The sanitary facilities are not the best. An employee from... the campsite has to come to connect and later disconnect the power cable. On the whole, an average site that benefits from its location. The gray water for the WW must be brought to the gray water point of the mobile homes.

Positive ting
Very nice location, good starting point for hikes and bike tours
Negative ting
Sanitary facilities in urgent need of modernization
Nice location, sanitary facilities less nice
The site is in a very beautiful location and has mostly grass-covered pitches, which can get quite damp when it rains. The sanitary facilities are largely in order, but the metal wall for the men to urinate is not in order, with the corresponding odor nuisance during the day (urinals with automatic flushing... should urgently be installed here. The toilets and the washroom are not or not sufficiently separated. The entrance to the men's and women's showers is inadequately marked (by retrofitting a roof). These points lead to the devaluation of the sanitary facilities by at least 2 stars. Bread roll service available except on Sundays and Mondays, shopping facilities available 300-400m away (Aldi, butcher with bakery and snack bar). There are much more comfortable pitches, but there are no other options on Lake Tegernsee. Hiking and cycling tours possible from the site.

Positive ting
Location, cleanliness, infrastructure, recreation, dog-friendly, bread service very cheap (also on public holidays), restaurant on site
Negative ting
No water at the pitch, only one supply and disposal station for water and waste water. Only one chemical toilet disposal.
Beautiful place
We were there from 18-21.4.2019. A very nice place. Pitch on the large meadow with a view of the Wallberg. Ideal with our dogs. Sanitary clean and in order. Operator friendly and courteous. Ideal location of the site. Aldi and butcher's shop within 10 minutes walking distance, restaurant on site very good. All in all, highly recommended.

Positive ting
Beautiful hiking opportunities.
Negative ting
Dirty sanitary facilities
Not again
The operator should revise his homepage. There is neither a self-service store nor a large playground, let alone clean sanitary facilities. Some of the shower walls were full of mold. The men's toilets stank like a train station. Price performance does not fit at all. Pitches narrow and sometimes noisy. The really good thing was the food in the restaurant. Very tasty. But we won't be repeat offenders. Too bad, you could make a lot out of it

Nice place in a good location
I was there from 20-30.08.18 for the first and certainly not the last time. The place is very quiet you have a very nice view of the foothills of the Alps. The sanitary facilities were clean and in good condition. Price performance is absolutely right. The restaurant on site offers very good food and... is not expensive. The staff on site were very friendly. This site is recommended. Caravans and mobile homes of all sizes have no problem finding a nice pitch here.

Quiet, good location and friendly staff
Recommended, quiet campsite
A fine campsite for the average camper. The site is clean, the permanent campers super friendly and there is a chilled atmosphere throughout. Our little daughter (4 years old) could easily ride her bike to the small playground on her own. We were just passing through and initially only wanted to stay... one night, but ended up staying a few nights more. The staff made everything possible and assigned us a great spot despite it being the main holiday season. The restaurant is also great. There's plenty on the plate and it's always delicious!!! You can plan various activities from the campsite as it is quite central. A little more proximity to the lake would be great. Then you could cool off quickly - especially in this summer heat 😉🤣!
