Positive ting
The restrooms are excellent and always clean; the location is fantastic, with a view of the lake and close to the Rigi valley station. Friendly welcome. Prices are absolutely reasonable for Switzerland.

A very beautiful spot with a great view
We'd gladly come back anytime. However, it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance—we called ahead and were able to choose from the available spots. We traveled in a van with two people. A comfort site with water, electricity, and internet for 51 CHF per night.

Positive ting
Very quiet after 10:00 p.m. Fantastic view of the lake and the mountains Very friendly staff Clean and adequate restroom facilities Nice pool with lounge chairs in the shade
Negative ting
Nothing to complain about
A quiet spot with a beautiful view
A beautiful, terraced campground with long-term campers in the center. The view of the lake and the surrounding mountains is fantastic. The restroom facilities are adequate and always clean. The dishwashing area is spacious and nicely furnished, as are the lounge and the kitchen. Hikes start right from... the campground. Bread, rolls, etc., can be ordered on-site and will be added to your final bill. Groceries and other items can be purchased in town after a short walk. The staff are very friendly, as are the permanent campers—which isn’t always a given.
We had a comfort site with water and sewer hookups and were very satisfied overall—except for the weather, which was much too hot—but the campground can’t be blamed for that. The only relief came from the pool and the lake.

Positive ting
It is well maintained, the location is good for hiking and swimming at the lake, there is a pool and actually also a wonderful view of the lake. The campsite is laid out in terraces.
Negative ting
Unfortunately, we had a motorhome pitch directly in front of a large house, so we had no view of the lake. Unfortunately, the pitch cost just as much as the other pitches. The customer service was catastrophic at that moment and the gentleman took the request for a pitch change or price reduction very personally. There was also very little water coming out of the shower.
Overall good
All in all, it was still a successful stay. The location is great and actually the view too. There are also a few trees that provide shade.

Positive ting
This place fully met my expectations and I will definitely be back.
Negative ting
The somewhat unfortunate weather.
Nice quiet place with a good lake view
Smooth and uncomplicated, friendly reservation. The staff were very friendly and courteous.

The campsite is located slightly above the village and is laid out in terraces. The entrance is a little steep but easy to drive on.

The campsite facilities are very good and very modern. The sanitary facilities... are very well maintained and adapted to the size of the site.

Although I was there over Whitsun 2021 and the site was well booked, the guests adhered to the applicable protective measures.

In future, this campsite will be my base for excursions in the Rigi region.

Positive ting
Everything was very good, clean, beautiful view, friendly, shopping, boat and cable cars within a few minutes walking distance.
Negative ting
Most showers have a non-adjustable spray head. This is too close to the wall. We had to squeeze into the corner to wash off the shampoo and shower gel.
Very nice hiking vacation
The location is beautiful above the lake. From many places you have a beautiful view of the lake and/or mountains. Ideal location for hiking and relaxing. At the weekend there was a lot of excursion traffic on the lake road when the weather was nice, but it didn't bother us much. The distance to the road is large enough. During the week and at night it was very quiet.

Great place
Wonderful terraced site, so that everyone has a clear view of the lake. A view of the mountains in the background. Very quiet site with swimming pool and spacious pitches with electricity, water connection and gray water drainage. Perfectly maintained and clean site with very friendly operators. Ideal place for hiking and exploring Lake Lucerne.

Well-kept place in a beautiful location
Stayed in Vitznau for three days in June while passing through. We felt very comfortable. Very well-kept place, super clean sanitary facilities, very, very hot flushing water!!! We would definitely like to stay there again for a longer vacation.

Positive ting
- great view - quiet location - well-kept place - nice operators
Negative ting
- Access a bit steep and narrow, but doable - No playground directly on the pitch, but next door
well-kept place with a beautiful view
We spent four nights on the site and would go again, just not in high season because it's very expensive then. The pitches are not very big, but have a nice view of the lake. Unfortunately, the access roads are steep and narrow, but the operator helps you to maneuver. The sanitary facilities are clean... and plentiful. The only problem is that there is often no hot water when washing up at busy times. The small store with café only has the bare essentials. The pool looks nice, but it was still too cold for us to swim. The area offers lots to do and the lake is within walking distance. The location is very quiet.

Positive ting
Well-kept facilities pool Absolute peace and quiet at night Fantastic location above the lake Leisure activities
Negative ting
Practically no "nightlife" in the village
You absolutely have to go here!
Rarely beautiful and quiet location above Lake Lucerne, framed by the entire Alpine chain! Relatively short but fairly wide pitches on grass, some with paved lanes. Loose trees provide some shade. Very clean and well-maintained sanitary facilities, especially spacious shower cubicles, even for "more... robust" campers. Family shower available. The range of leisure activities in Vitznau and the surrounding area is overwhelming! We opted for a hike across the Vitznau Alps, took the Rigi Railway to Kaltbad, from there an easy hike along beautiful mountain flora to Hinterbergen - Vitznau. (There is an alternative route at Rigi-First: a rocky path with a fantastic view...). Kayaks can be hired at the campsite. These are pulled to the lake on a wheeled cart. There are numerous free landing spots for swimming and barbecuing. For us, 4 hours was enough for an extensive trip along the shore with a swim stop in the Vitznauer bathing bay. You should definitely take the signposted circular route around Vitznau. This leads directly from the campsite along the white signs above the picturesque village center to the western end of the village and along the beautiful hotels and villas on the lakeside road back to the campsite. Along the way you pass romantic streams with lush vegetation and beautiful viewpoints. The spa gardens, cog railroad and steamboat station are absolutely amazing! In Vitznau there are numerous restaurants in every price range, and a grocery store is open 7 days a week. The neighboring villages are also worth a visit, and if it rains, the city of Lucerne offers numerous tourist attractions. At the end of our stay, we were treated to a thunderstorm in Vitznau Bay. The reverberation of thunder and lightning on the imposing rock faces is really not an everyday occurrence...

Lovely stay at the end of our tour of Switzerland
The Vitznau campsite was the perfect end to our tour of Switzerland. The view over the lake - a dream. The very clean pool with a view over the lake - a must every day. The relaxed and quiet atmosphere of the campsite - pure relaxation.
