- Friendly staff - Spacious campsites - Very nice swimming pond with a sunbathing area - Good bus service to Coburg. The bus stop is a 10-minute walk away. - Clean restroom facilities - Beautifully landscaped campground with nicely terraced camping areas. Each circular area has 6–8 campsites.
Negative ting
- No bread roll service - The restrooms are sometimes quite far away. There are no shortcuts. An additional restroom would be nice.
A small, cozy, and quiet campground with a beautiful swimming pond
If you're looking for a campground near Coburg, this place is a real hidden gem and a true treasure.
The campsites offer every camper a pleasant level of peace and privacy.
The swimming pond is truly stunning. Lovingly landscaped and planted, it’s actually a real little swimming pool (complete with filtration... systems, etc.).
The friendly owners are happy to help.
From the campground, you can easily take day trips to Coburg and the surrounding area using public transportation (the Deutschlandticket is valid). Coburg is just a 30-minute bus ride away.

A really nice campground
A really great campground—shady meadows, water hookups at every site, short walks to the restrooms and showers, and everything is clean! The swimming pond is awesome. The owners help out wherever they can and are available to answer questions or help with any problems. Highly recommended. We’re giving it 10 stars :-) and hope to visit again soon. A great spot near a beautiful town
At the Sonnland Campground, we love the combination of quiet campsites with electricity, fresh water, and wastewater connections. The restroom facilities and kitchen area are very well maintained and spotless. The natural swimming lake with its well-kept sunbathing areas is worth a visit.
The tranquil... town of Seßlach—a historic small town with many half-timbered buildings, shopping options, and good restaurants—is about a six-minute walk away. Parking is plentiful and free outside the city walls.
The groundskeeper gave us a warm welcome, and his wife handled the paperwork quickly and efficiently.
We were shown to our campsite, which was spacious and in a quiet location.
We’d love to visit this campground again and wish Yvonne & Ralf Gruber all the best in their business.

A very small and fine campsite in beautiful Upper Franconia. You'll find everything you need there. Peace, relaxation, cleanliness and tidiness, good WLAN and a certain simplicity. The pitches in the rondels are a bit small, but otherwise there's nothing to complain about. The groundsman lives on site... and is always available. Yes, he is a bit "gruff", typically Upper Franconian, but always helpful and friendly. The toilets and showers were clean at all times. If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to visit the beautiful towns of Coburg, Seßlach and Bamberg, this is the place for you. A trip to Vierzehnheiligen is also very worthwhile. What I personally missed was the bread roll service on site. The nearest bakery is about a 10-minute walk from the campsite. There is also a well-stocked EDEKA. Showers cost 50 cents for 3 minutes. That's fine, but it's no longer up to date. It would be better to increase the pitch fee per person a little and it would be good. There are no garbage bins on the pitch, I personally think it would be good if there were. Otherwise, I have nothing to complain about. I thought it was great there and will definitely be back soon.

It is a charming site with beautiful pitches. Each pitch has its own water, electricity and waste water. Super nice swimming pond with large sunbathing lawn. To the city and shopping market 10 minutes walk, groundsman nice. We will be back

Highly recommended campsite if you are looking for peace and relaxation. The swimming pond is magnificent. Great landscape for walking and cycling. Coburg and Bamberg are well worth a visit.

Pitches in the traffic circle are definitely too small! No space for an awning or car, no possibility to move into the pitch without a mover, no possibility for the satellite key and an awning was out of the question.
Great swimming pond, pitches too narrow
The swimming pond is surrounded by meadows and bushes. There are lovingly designed seating areas. Really beautifully laid out!
Unfortunately, our pitch had far too little space. The cars and awnings of the neighboring campers were in the way in the traffic circle.
When we arrived, 5 out of 8 pitches... were already occupied. There was definitely no usable space left for us.
The tightness of the pitches is not shown in the online booking view.
My recommendation: occupy two fewer pitches in the traffic circle.

Very nice campsite, nice operator, very well maintained facility
Friendly operator, competent groundsman who has everything under control, we can't share the negative opinion about the groundsman at all!
The swimming pond is very lovingly maintained and super refreshing in these temperatures. The sanitary building is always clean, we never had to wait or queue even though the site was full (Corpus Christi). Super quiet at night, you can really relax here. Good cycle paths and it's not far to the town either.

Nice, small campsite
Shops and petrol station (only coin-operated) 500 m away. In Sesslach you can eat very well at the "Roter Ochsen". However, it is advisable to book well in advance.

Designed with a lot of love
The bathing area has been designed with a lot of love. A really beautiful oasis of peace. The rear pitches are large, sufficient and not far from the sanitary building. This is modern and clean.
A supermarket is 1 km away. We really liked the whole campsite.

- Cabin and pitch very clean - Equipment functional, except for living room, see below. - Swimming pond very nice - Walking distance to the village and Edeka, fields and nature directly behind the site.
Negative ting
- Cabin furnishings do not correspond to the photos, only 1 of 4 cabins appears to be furnished in a modern style. We had a worn corner bench and a broken, somewhat disgusting sofa bed in the living room instead of the modern furnishings. - There is no view from the hut terrace. You look from the terrace onto a hedge 2m away or onto the neighboring huts. The text is a cheek. - During the day, the busy road traffic with trucks is easy to hear.
An accurate description for the huts would be nice
The pixelated start photo of the huts is ten years old or similar. This sloe hedge is 2-3 m high and prevents any view.

"Enjoying the sunset on the terrace" is another one of those things. You can of course sit on the terrace, but the sun goes down behind the houses, so you're sitting in the shade....

A little more honesty in the text on the internet would lead to people recommending the place or perhaps coming back. Certainly not like this.

Nevertheless, the price is reasonable and the overall impression of our days there is positive.

Actually beautifully situated. The groundsman is authoritative but OK. The pitches are simply too narrow and small from today's point of view. At the pitch everything is available water, electricity etc. but the narrowness puts everything in the shade. Sanitary at normal times OK but at Corona times there should be more.

One of the most beautiful oases to recharge your batteries.
Wonderfully clean campsite. Very quiet location, even the nights are very quiet. We were able to sleep very well and longer (better than at home). A beautiful swimming lake with very good water quality.
It is cleaned daily with a robot. I always found the sanitary facilities clean. You can recharge your battery here.

The site was our first visit with our new camper and just to test it for 3 days.
The sanitary facilities were clean and well laid out. The terraced location with lots of trees divides the site nicely into small areas. The bathing lake with sunbathing lawn is really great. You can easily walk to Sesslach... as well as to the nearby Edeka. You can buy everything you need there except water wings for the child, which we had forgotten ;) The only thing that would have been great is a bread roll service in the morning. The groundsman is a typical Franconian. You just have to know and like that. He gave us really great support and was very helpful. Thank you! We are happy to recommend the place to others, as it is not so commercially designed.

A nice little campsite in a quiet location
A nice little campsite in a quiet location 15 minutes' walk from the village of Sesslach. There are large and smaller pitches with and without shade. Each pitch has fresh water and waste water disposal as well as electricity. Great and new sanitary facilities can be found here, and great importance is... attached to cleanliness. Three-minute showers cost 50 cents, whereby the time is stopped if you set the water jet to stop. The showers are large enough, equipped with splash guards and there are also plenty of shelves. In the washroom there are plenty of washbasins with hot and cold water and hooks for towels. Each toilet has a disinfectant to clean the toilet seat. In other words, excellent sanitary facilities. There is also a nice dishwashing room under the sanitary facilities. The campsite also has a swimming pond with a beautiful swimming area. Registration was also quick, easy and hassle-free. If the groundsman is not at reception, you can call him and he will come straight away. His lunch break is from 12:00 to 14:00. Access to the pitches is easy, even with larger vehicles. Internet is free for 4 days (1000MB daily) and one device. WLAN works very well throughout the site, but is very slow. You can buy bread rolls for breakfast at the Edeka supermarket 500m away, which is a 7-minute walk away. Our stay here was very cheap. We paid €20 per day in the NS for 2 people, pitch and electricity up to 5KW. If you use more electricity, you have to pay extra. The groundsman was very friendly and helpful.
