"Place with a lot of mosquitoes - The campsite is within cycling distance of the nearest town and a bird park that is well worth a visit. On arrival, it was suggested that we only book one night because of the many biting midges. There really were a lot of midges! The pitches and sanitary facilities were fine. However, the sanitary area was cleaned in the morning when it was used by a lot of guests. The showers can be operated with a wristband, which you get. However, this was a bit difficult to do and sometimes the showers didn't work.

"Bumpy start to the April 2022 season - For a few days in April, this campsite was our base for exploring the Carmargue. We arrived at the start of the season in April, the reception was well staffed and new staff were being trained. It was to be expected that there wouldn't be much going on at the start of the season, but the campsite filled up more and more every day. The sanitary facilities were only partially open, but were perfectly adequate. They were in good condition, but the waste water systems in the toilets tended to get blocked, as I found out for myself. Otherwise okay, toilet seats are available, paper is not, the hot shower water was at a pleasant temperature. General cleanliness is okay, which is unfortunately also due to the guests. However, some details are lacking, such as the signage showing where to find what (dishwashing room) or proper door handles. The fact that some facilities are not yet open at the start of the season is also nothing unusual, but it is very disappointing that the restaurant and store are still closed due to a lack of staff on a site of this size and this self-proclaimed high standard. Also, nothing was done to ensure that at least a bread service was organized to order, only the terse reference to the closed store. Catering therefore a total failure. Naturally, mosquitoes were not a problem at this time of year, but the occasional strong mistral wind was. Otherwise: beautiful location, spacious and level pitches, electricity and water nearby. Heated pool was in operation. You can be in the lively town in 10 minutes by bike and on the beach even faster. Conclusion: A few nice days here, which could have been much better if it hadn't been for the restrictions mentioned. We left a day earlier than planned.

"Relax and unwind... - I was passing through and wanted to relax for 2 days. That worked out wonderfully, even though not all the facilities were open thanks to corona. But a bike tour through the Camargue and a visit to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer are perfect from this campsite. However, I don't want to imagine what it's like on the campsite and in the town in high season...
