Positive ting
- clean and tidy - large pitches (at least on the lowest level), plenty of shade - very clear and beautiful lake - lovely little village of Les-Salles-sur Verson nearby with restaurants and stores - nice little snack bar/restaurant on the campsite - beautiful surroundings
Negative ting
- Terraced layout - no meadow but gravel on the pitches - proper toilets, but no toilet seats - you can't close the drain when washing up, so you have to wash up in the bowl - you have to walk about 100m to the lake via a small road
Good campsite and beautiful surroundings and clear lake
We stayed here for 1 week as a family with a caravan.

- Campsite: ... is laid out in terraces, there are about 4-5 levels high in the direction of the village. At the top there are smaller pitches for tents. From there you have a very nice view over the lake. We were on the lowest level, where all the... pitches were large and fairly level. They are all covered with gravel.
There is a small snack bar with reasonable prices and nice owners, serving drinks and simple meals. The European soccer championship was also on here.
When we were there, the pitch was full, but you never had the feeling of lots of people or overcrowding. It was pleasant.

- Sanitary facilities: clean, tidy and sufficient

- Lake: The lake is very large and very clean. There are only 2 real places on the lake, so there is hardly anything going on. You only see a few sailing boats and surfers, no motorboats. There are several bathing spots opposite the campsite, you have to cross the small road. Most of the bathing spots also have stones, but it's okay. It's good for windsurfing, you only have to walk about 100m. A little further ahead is a surf station where you can hire boats and there is a bar/snack bar.

- Les-Salles-sur-Verdon": From the upper end of the campsite, you can walk straight into the small village. There are several restaurants and bars, a few stores, a small grocery store and a boulongerie where you can buy baguettes etc. early. There are also a few hotels, so there were always a few people out and about and in the restaurants. We found this quite pleasant.

- Surroundings: The Verdon Gorge is not far away, a few minutes by car. You could also go there on the lake in a pedal boat or something, but that's quite a distance. There are a few smaller places to explore nearby by car, a larger supermarket is only 20-30 minutes away in Aups. On the other side of the lake are the lavender fields.

Positive ting
-Location directly on the beautiful Lac St. Croix -very good WLAN - Showers in the open air - Pure relaxation - beautifully laid out in terraces and with lots of flowers - Friendly operators - Vacation from the first minute
Negative ting
- large supermarket far away
Simply fantastic
We liked Camping La Source from the very first minute, we had reserved a comfort pitch and indicated that we didn't have a mover. So we were given a pitch downstairs and they helped us set it up straight away. Simply great!
The campsite is beautifully situated on the lake. It only took a few minutes... to get into the refreshing water and enjoy the magnificent panorama.
We entered the village through a gate at the top and were able to buy delicious baguettes from the bakery in the morning. The place is cozy and you feel like you're on vacation. There are no large supermarkets, but the 8a huit has everything you need at somewhat expensive prices.
There is so much nature to discover in the area and then the magical lake beckons.
The campsite is not that big. The sanitary facilities are always clean and the open-air showers are quite something.
However, I would always book a comfort pitch. The standard pitches are often very small.
We enjoyed our time right up to the last minute and will definitely be back.

Tip Top
A beautiful campsite on Lac De Sant Croix and the nearby Verdon Gorge. We felt comfortable right from the start and can fully agree with Vanderbeke's positive reviews. We actually wanted to stay another week but the area was declared a Corona risk area. That's why we left early, but will definitely come back here and to this campsite.

Beautiful and exceptionally well maintained
The beautiful campsite is laid out on terraces, but you only have a view of the lake at the very top. There are several beaches directly in front of the campsite. The site is very green and extremely well-kept. At the beginning of June, the campsite was already quite busy, with around 75% occupancy. The path to the bakery is steep, but worth it - for us one of the most beautiful places on the Verdon!

Very nice campsite
As already described, the campsite is located in the immediate vicinity of the lake "Lac de Sainte-Croix". The campsite and especially the surrounding area are very beautiful. The lake and the nearby Verdon Gorge are incredibly beautiful. We loved the golf cart tour on arrival, which we had never experienced... before. We chose the most beautiful place for us. Very friendly staff and very clean sanitary facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. The climb up to the village above the campsite was just like home for someone from Wuppertal. The bakery in the village has delicious baguettes and croissants.

A very nice campsite with a hillside location
We felt very comfortable on this campsite, pure relaxation! And above all quiet! The reception is run by a warm owner family to whom we would like to say a big thank you! For the long power cable. We had a very nice pitch. The power column was a few meters away and our cable was much too short. The wash... houses are very clean and are cleaned several times a day! The lake is a dream, clear water for swimming and kayaking. If you want to discover Les Salles, you have to walk over the slope in the campsite and through an electric gate and you are already in the cute village. WE WILL BE BACK !!!!

Beautiful camp in a fantastic location
We only arrived in the evening and there was a sign in front of the entrance saying that it was already full. However, we asked and got a place for two nights. Friendly reception. Although it was full to capacity, it was very quiet. The sanitary facilities were the nicest and cleanest on our tour of... the south of France. Only a small road lies between the camp and the lake with wonderful, clean and warm water. The camp runs up a steep slope to an exit gate to the village with restaurants and a small store.

Positive ting
Extremely many leisure activities ( selectable 5 are absolutely not enough )
Negative ting
Unfortunately, there was a lot of tourist traffic at the time. As a result, there is always a lot of "noise" during construction and dismantling.
Super nice campsite right on the lake
The campsite is located directly on the lake, built into a slope. Beautiful pitches for almost any vehicle that can get there. The village above the site can be reached directly via a gate. However, the site is quite steep towards the top. Sanitary facilities are clean and are often cleaned with a steam... jet. The number of toilets was just sufficient, I never had to wait. However, the sanitary facilities are mixed! I didn't really care, my wife didn't like it. Operator and staff very friendly. A very nice place!

Positive ting
Location; cleanliness; quiet; spacious pitches with electricity, water & drainage; friendly hosts
Negative ting
No heated swimming pool (lake is still cold in low season)
Beautiful, quiet, friendly campsite on Lac de Ste. Croix
Very friendly and attentive hosts make a stay at this campsite, which is perfectly located between the town center and the lake, very pleasant. The sanitary facilities are very spacious and clean by French standards. The driveways and pitches are also sufficient for large motorhomes and caravans. We spent 9 quiet and relaxing days there with canoeing, hiking and excursions.

getting a croissant is early morning exercise ;)
Great place
To recommend without hesitation. To buy bread and groceries you have to go to the village, which is accessible via a direct path (quite steep) from the square.

quiet, very well-kept place
The campsite is terraced, but you only have a view of the lake at the top. There are several beaches directly in front of the campsite. The site is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The campsite was quite busy at the beginning of June. The sanitary facilities are tiptop and are cleaned twice... a day. The lights in the washrooms are switched off at 10.30 pm, so you should take a flashlight with you. Although the site was almost full, it was quiet. From 23.00 there was total peace and quiet, which was fine with us. There are no shopping facilities on the site itself. However, the village can be reached on foot in 5 minutes through the upper gate of the campsite. There are bakers, butchers and a small supermarket. You can also eat out in the village. There is a kiosk on the campsite that sells fast food, including pizza. However, we didn't think it was that great. We found all the staff on the campsite to be very friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful. You can swim, paddle, hike and visit beautiful old villages.... We liked the campsite so much that we stayed longer than planned.

Great location
Any time again
A warm owner couple and friendly staff. We were there with our motorhome in June 2015. The pitches are located on tracks with spacious pitches directly on the beautiful lake. The sanitary facilities are cleaned twice a day. On the other side of the site is the small village, which has a lovely weekly market. Any time again

Nice, fine site with direct access to the village. It is down by the lake and on a slope. With the MAgnet card you can go out through a gate into the small village above the campsite whenever you want.
