We were there in mid-September and actually wanted to stay longer, but left after three nights.
Numerous barricaded stalls of permanent campers do not make a good first impression. The sanitary facilities are getting... on in years, not particularly well maintained, there are crumbling shower walls, black joints...
On the first night, four people with tents arrived at 3 a.m. (at night!!! No barrier at the entrance), talking loudly and behaving completely inconsiderately.
On the second night we had to listen to the babbling of some permanent campers for hours. At 7:30 in the morning, the campsite operator loudly started a high-pressure cleaner to clean the sanitary facilities.
In the afternoon we came back from a hike and on the pitch next to us were new arrivals who had squeezed two vehicles and a small tent onto their pitch. The tent was right next to our bumper and the following night we were kept awake by the incessant coughing of the tent's occupant. Unfortunately, the people were also chain smokers (it stank incessantly) and early risers - they got up at 6 a.m. and talked unabashedly and loudly.
At the weekend, someone is squeezed into every free square meter, you have zero privacy, vans are even placed in the second row in front of the permanent campers.
However, I have to say that the operators are very friendly and welcoming and apologized several times when we left. But the lack of space and privacy and the fact that there were an extremely large number of people there with no education or respect for others outweighed the negative impression.
Our pitch was in the lower part of the campsite. The pitches in the upper area are the nicest, I call them "panoramic terraces", but they are only suitable for very small vehicles (vans).

The sanitary facilities are very modern and well maintained, and there is a washing machine etc. for pampered campers.
There is a kiosk nearby for breakfast pastries and newspapers.
The bathing... area for bathers is only 2 minutes away, we prefer the dog area opposite the kiosk, where our big Newfoundland Pauli is happy when we swim together.

Er was geen plek meer maar de geweldige camping bazin rommelt iedereen er gewoon tussen, dag en nacht met grote zorg.... Dan doet het er niet toe dat er voor schaduw nog geen struikje staat, er geen winkeltje is, geen broodje te krijgen, (dat kan allemaal net buiten de poort) geen koffie of thee, maar wel een biertje in de geheime koelkast in de piepkleine receptie. En dan de lokatie aan dat meer. Waanzinnig! En in de omgeving is alles te doen wat een vakantie mens wensen kan. The washrooms and toilets are very clean. The campsite manager Mrs. Bischof is very nice and helpful when looking for a pitch and gives great tips for leisure activities such as cycling and hiking.
The lake has great... water quality with a clean, beautiful sunbathing lawn with a small snack bar. There is also a bakery that sells small items for campers. Although it was actually fully booked, we got a suuuper place for our camper van at short notice, didn't feel cramped and had enough privacy. The Bischof family run this campsite with heart and soul, helping wherever necessary and "jigsawing"... with the pitches to accommodate as many people as possible!!!!
The site is beautifully situated, close to the lake and the mountains.....super for those who love peace and quiet and nature lovers! You can go hiking, cycling and do many types of water sports, especially diving, swimming, sup......
The campsite is simple, without a lot of frills (fortunately!!!). Showers and toilets always very clean. Good value for money and fair.
We will definitely be back!!!!!

Because we were very early in the spring, it was very quiet and there were only a few other guests on site. The sanitary facilities were very well maintained, with everything you need from washing machines to dryers. The scenery around... the campsite is a dream for every mountain lover. The beautiful Toplitzsee lake is just a few minutes' walk away and there is a fisherman's hut on the shore. We really recommend eating here, it's very tasty. Unfortunately, the "shuttle boats" that take you to the Kammersee were not operating when we were there. However, after a short consideration, we spent our entire vacation here. We stayed at this wonderful campsite from June 12, 2017 to June 25, 2017 and didn't regret a single minute. Many thanks for the pleasant time... with the Bischof family. There was not an unfriendly word from the operators, there was a short chat for all guests. The sanitary facilities are simple, but totally clean and functional. We will be back.
