- Elena C.July 2022Positive tingNice staff, German speakingNegative tingSee comment:Square 170 is a playgroundAs we were late planning our vacation, we didn't have too many campsites left and decided on a pitch at Camping den Osse. We were offered pitch 170 and were told that there was also a playground. Of course, we didn't assume that we had to check whether the campsite was using every possible area to make... money and was therefore also offering a playground as a campsite, but the fact is that pitch 170 is the playground.
There is no separation and the gas connection is near the swings. As vacations are for relaxing, we didn't want to stay on this pitch for one night and then move our tent to another pitch the next day. Discomfort with the entire campsite (misleading, inaccurate communication, very overbuilt, noisy children playing logically on pitch 170, permanent campers, narrow paths, hardly any free parking spaces, expensive for what is on offer on a playground) was not accepted as a reason for cancellation. It was also not possible to agree with the manager on half of the price for a refund.
Nevertheless, the staff were helpful and friendly.Automatisk oversatt. - Willi R.June 2019Positive tingnoneNegative tingVery expensive!Between stopNice friendly welcome! We had been warned about the dive club because it could be a bit noisy at the weekend, but that was not the problem, but the local neighbors loudly bawling into the night. The price per night 41,50 we found hefty for the place! There is a small store where you can buy bread rolls... and newspapers. There is also a pool where you can splash around. Sanitary facilities are clean, there are black sheep everywhere! The place is very dominated by permanent campers! Conclusion for a weekend it was okAutomatisk oversatt.
- Rene S.August 2018Positive tingBeautiful, mature grounds Very good bread rolls Good locationNegative tingSanitary facilities could be cleaned moreBeautiful place with potential for improvementThe site is dominated by (older) mobile homes, but also offers enough space for campers. The site looks a little older, but has its own charm. The first tour should not be done without a plan, as there are numerous paths through the largely beautiful grounds. The garbage containers and the parking lot... within the site are not among the highlights. The sanitary facilities at the entrance were ok for the men, but too often dirty for the women. The marina and supermarkets are close by and it's not far to the sea by bike. The bakery on site offers the best bread rolls in Holland. The pancake house on site was ok.Automatisk oversatt.
- Kathrin R.June 2017Positive tingSuper close to the harborNegative tingExpensive Not always cleanExpensive, but close to the marina and cat clubThe campsite is incomparably close to the marina and Catclub den Osse and offers a very good infrastructure. It is very busy in the high season, which makes it rather restless. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was good last time we were here, having been recently refurbished. However, the rental accommodation is in much poorer condition and more expensive than the surrounding pitches. It is also quite cramped and crowded in the seasonAutomatisk oversatt.
- Mayk L.May 2017Positive tingShady pitches, clean sanitary facilitiesNegative tingNo direct access to the sea.Nicely laid out family campsiteWe have been coming to this campsite regularly for many years at Christi-Himmelfart. The popular bridge-day weekends are often used by diving clubs. The pitches are large and the site has lots of trees with good shade. There is a swimming pool (outdoor pool) and a small children's playground for children.... There is a small snack bar at the entrance. The sanitary facilities are clean. The showers are free and there is no limited shower time. There is a supermarket in the neighboring Landal vacation park, which is within walking distance. The nearest town is Brouwershaven, which can be reached by bike in about 10 minutes. You can also reach Scharendijke and Renesse (approx. 10 km) via well-maintained cycle paths. Dogs are allowed. The site is ideal for water sports enthusiasts, as there are several marinas and diving spots in the immediate vicinity. For surfers and kiters, the Brouwers dam is not far away.Automatisk oversatt.
- Georg N.October 2012I've known the site for 14 years now. In the beginning, the site only accommodated caravans with awnings. As the pitches were quite large (they still are today, a big plus!), you had a very beautiful and natural open view. Nowadays, Sta-Caravans are systematically installed on the pitches. As these are... very large, there is no longer an open view. In addition, there are many fenced-in and very material-intensive allotment installations on the Sta-Caravans. This makes the site look more sterile and cramped from year to year. The sanitary facilities are hardly maintained at all. It is dirty and only the most essential things are maintained. For example, the door handle to the men's washroom has been broken for over a year. In addition, noisy work, such as shredding tree cuttings, is carried out during the vacation periods when people actually want to relax. There are many trailers and sold caravans in the parking lot, which means that several parking spaces are lost. If the above-mentioned mistakes were eliminated, the site would be unique, especially as there are great leisure opportunities in the large outdoor pool (20 m lane!) and the two tennis courts (just renovated with a new surface).Automatisk oversatt.
- Louis D.July 2010We were in Den Osse again this year after a long time and were very sad that such a beautiful place could fall into such disrepair. The sanitary facilities were not very clean and the swimming pool was a disgrace. I don't think it was cleaned once in the whole 14 days. A real shame.Automatisk oversatt.
