Positive ting
Nice place in a good location.
Negative ting
A donkey is kept on the neighboring property that urgently needs a partner and is only approached by passing campers.
Top campsite
Well-kept site on the River Gardon with swimming in the river. Site partly laid out in terraces. Outdoor pool with slides and additional indoor pool, children's playground.
Centrally located restaurant and well-stocked mini-market. 3 sanitary buildings on site, always clean and in excellent condition. Very friendly staff, some of whom speak German at reception.

Positive ting
Very nicely laid out and clean site. Fantastic swimming river with lots of opportunities for cliff jumping
Negative ting
No evening entertainment or anything like that, the site is 98% occupied by Dutch people who often already know each other. This means that there is little opportunity to really get in touch with other campers, which of course also applies to children
very nice place
great importance is attached to waste separation.

Positive ting
Cliff jumping on the Gardon river Close to the town of Anduze beautiful pool
Negative ting
few sights in the immediate vicinity restaurant
We recommend the campsite without hesitation
We spent 2 weeks with our caravan on the campsite this summer. The site is well occupied in summer, mainly by Dutch people. We received a very friendly welcome at reception (in German), the camping team is competent and goes out of their way to make sure holidaymakers have a good time. The site is in... a very quiet location just outside Anduze directly on the river, which is accessible via 3 points. The river is shallow at the front of the campsite, at the back there are great rocks for cliff jumping, which was THE highlight for our children. Other highlights (for children) are the great pool with water slides (separate), a nice playground with trampolines, great children's entertainment (in Dutch) and lots of soccer for the boys of all ages. The pitches are partly in the shade, but some are also fully sunny. There is a bread roll service, but you need to know that you have to order everything except baguettes and croissants a day in advance directly from the mini-market. If you manage to do this, you will get very tasty bread and rolls, including dark ones. On the other hand, we can't recommend the restaurant at all, the food is terrible, only the pizza is okay. The sanitary facilities, on the other hand, were always clean.

Positive ting
- direct access to the lake - clean sanitary facilities - large pitches - very good restaurant
Negative ting
- unfriendly neighbors (Belgians, Dutch) - Some permanent campers who don't want guests next to them
Beautiful place by the river
The campsite is located directly on the River Gardon. It's a great place to swim and cool off. There are mixed sanitary facilities on the site, most of which are very well maintained and clean. There is a small trampoline park and a playground for children. There is also an outdoor pool with slides and... an indoor pool on the site. There are also table tennis tables and a grass football pitch. Apart from a few German guests, there were many Belgians and Dutch people on the site. From 23:00 absolute silence is desired, which is difficult on warm summer evenings ;-) We can recommend the campsite without hesitation! We

Positive ting
the magnificent immediate surroundings, the climbing rocks in and on the Anduze river, the swimming pool, the friendly reception
Negative ting
nothing
excellent campsite
The women at reception are very friendly and even speak excellent German. What's more, all the women there look very typically French. So it's really great there. The river Gardon, which flows right next to it, is particularly beautiful with its many rocks. They are ideal for children to learn to climb.... There is also a freely accessible swimming area on the campsite. Highly recommended. The pitches are also good and the restaurant is highly recommended. A small store next to the restaurant opens early for about 2 hours where you can buy the most necessary things, especially fresh baked goods. We had a great time and even made a little movie about the campsite, the small town of Anduze and our trip on the steam train that departs from Anduze. You can find it on youtube under my name Mike Kaufmann or Camping Anduze Cevennes Vacation etc.

Location on the banks of the Gardon, tranquillity
Great location directly on the Gardon
The campsite is located directly on the banks of the Gardon, where you can also swim. The pitches close to the shore are nevertheless quiet, as the rather cool water means that swimming is largely restricted to the warmer hours. The pitches are also suitable for large caravans. The pool area is nice, but cannot be compared with the really big campsites, and we preferred the Gardon.

Positive ting
the bathing area by the river, the friendliness of the entire staff
Negative ting
90% Dutch in July/August, no observance of the night's rest
Our favorite place if you don't have to travel in the high season.
The Issarte family really put their heart and soul into running this site and are always there for their camping guests. They also invest in new features every year. This was our fourth time there. This year, unfortunately, we had very sociable Dutch neighbors who didn't care about our night's sleep. Even advertising didn't help. We probably won't come here again in the high season.

Spectacularly beautiful bathing area, water at every pitch
Negative ting
not enough sleep at night
very loud
Beautifully situated, very nice bathing area, but nothing for relaxation and recreation, as very loud until 2:00 am, especially around the restaurant, which only closes at midnight, until 1:00 am is cleaned up and then still chatting around. There is no peace and quiet at night.

Positive ting
beautiful area
Negative ting
No differentiation in the pitches, would have expected a nice place for the money; WLAN hardly usable in the high season
Too expensive
The campsite has a wide variety of pitches, all of which cost the same. There are very large, beautiful ones and small ones. The WLAN is free, but hardly usable in high season. The paths are not illuminated and some of the access roads are very narrow. We found the site far too expensive for what it offered us. We have nothing against the Dutch, but at what felt like almost 100%, it was too much for the south of France.

Location, very nice team cliff jumping, surroundings with beautiful little town of Anduze nearby
Well-kept place in a very beautiful area
Most of the things have already been mentioned (great location, beautifully laid out, very nice surroundings, great cliffs for jumping...) I would like to emphasize two things: Really very friendly crew, who always have a solution and also book events for you, for example. On arrival, we couldn't turn... a corner with the caravan to get to the pitch. Within minutes, two helpers with small tractors were on hand to maneuver our caravan onto the pitch and patiently waited for the best positioning ;-). Another detail we found pleasant: at each toilet facility there is a hand wash basin with a soap dispenser that is always full. All in all, we can really recommend this place!

Positive ting
Beautiful pitches with sun and shade. Friendly staff.
Negative ting
WLAN inadequate with increasing pitch occupancy. Space is expensive in high season.
Beautiful place in a fantastic location
We spent 3 wonderful vacation weeks on this site in the preseason. Of course, we were lucky to get a pitch right on the steep bank without having to book in advance. Spacious, with sun and shade areas and a view of the Gardon. The staff are always friendly and speak perfect German The WLAN could be improved.... The sanitary facilities were always clean and more and more were opened as the campsite became full. You definitely need bathing shoes for swimming as the river bed is all boulders but the water is a delight and was a pleasant temperature in June. The surrounding villages are pretty and the markets are varied. The roadside fruit/vegetable stalls are particularly worth a stop. Nimes and the coast are nice day trips and the tours into the Cevennes to enjoy. A recommended place for vacations outside the main season.

The friendliness of the owners and the crew is unique. Super quiet place. Very large, shady pitches. Top restaurant. Great spa.
Something of the best in all respects
We wanted to spend a few weeks at the campsite in April and then travel on to the Atlantic. The positive things that awaited us here at Camping l'Arche could not have been bettered. The first thing to mention is the friendliness and helpfulness of the whole crew, which you can really feel every day.... The restaurant has a medium sized menu, all the dishes are excellently prepared and taste great, in addition to being excellent value for money. The sanitary facilities are cleaned daily, are very clean and more than fulfill their purpose. The location of the campsite is uniquely beautiful and very quiet. The beautiful planting throughout the campsite is a feast for the eyes. Pure relaxation! Back to our plans: We ended up staying here for 3 months and are looking forward to enjoying another great time here next year. If you don't feel comfortable on this site, it's best to spend your vacation at home. By the way, our dog felt just as comfortable as we did.

We will be back!
We (parents plus child aged 8) chose this campsite for our summer vacation this year: we stayed here with our tent for 3 weeks during the summer vacations. The evaluation of a campsite certainly has many dimensions and we have certainly forgotten something. Cleanliness: very good Toilets: unisex - strange... for Germans at first Swimming: Top. The river and the dammed natural stone pool are awesome: unforgettable for our son, especially the "exit" from the dammed pool ... Shopping: there are baguettes to buy in the morning ... Supermarkets: Lidl and Aldi nearby (we don't go to Fr for that). There are also franz. Supermarkets (and that's a good thing). We sometimes bought local produce from stalls along the roads: great! Pitches: a decent size with water and electricity. A rented fridge: a must-have in high season. Food: Dutch fast food at lunchtime: no In the evening in the open-air restaurant: good food in relation to the price (we ate about 15 times during our 3-week vacation :-)) Sanitary: ok Visitors: hardly any Germans, mainly colleagues from NL. The Kids Club is outsourced :-) :-) Excursion potential: high (Nimes, Pont du Gard, ..) Geocaching (for insiders): an incredible number of power trails (but also very hot in summer!) Overall: we have booked again for next year!

Positive ting
beautiful location, well-kept complex, nice pool, ideal with children
Beautiful, well-kept campsite at the foot of the Cévennes
We spent some very nice days at the campsite. It is beautifully situated on the edge of the Cevennes on the River Gardon. Our pitch in the upper area was in partial shade, in the lower area (by the river) there are mainly shady pitches. It is the ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding... area. And with the beautiful river and its small pool and various play facilities, it offers plenty of variety for young and old. In addition to the great offer, we also found peace and quiet! We can highly recommend the site, the only thing we could criticize is the waiting times at the sink in the evening and the toilets, which are not always so clean. However, the last point is probably more down to the other campers, the toilets were cleaned regularly by the operator. There are mainly Dutch, Belgian and French people on the campsite. There were also a few Germans. We like a mixed crowd, so we felt very comfortable here.

Great campsite. Will be vacationing there longer next year. Good shopping facilities nearby (Lidl, Aldi, Super U) Nice pool. The landscape and the river were magnificent and our children had a lot of fun. In the evening from 22:00 night rest!

Positive ting
Unique location with fantastic rocky landscape on the shore. W-LAN is included in the price and can be received well on all pitches.
Negative ting
No market on the square
Fantastic location on the River Gardon
Very quietly located CP with very large pitches. Sanitary facilities were always tidy. This site impresses with its fantastic location on the River Gardon. A rustic rocky landscape by the river invites you to sunbathe and jump into the river. Suitable for young and old. Bread sales from 8-10 am, otherwise... no market on the site. Lidl and Co. approx. 2-3 km away. Anduze is a typical southern French town. There is plenty to see in the surrounding area. A MUST is a trip on the steam train from Anduze to St.-Jean-du-Gard and a visit to Europe's largest bamboo forest (Bambouserie) near Anduze (the train also has a stop there). Also not far away is the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Pont du Gard", which can also be found on the euro banknotes. The Roman city of Nimes is also not too far away. The campsite's pool area is small but nice and, for once, the description "heated pool" was correct. The water was really warm. However, the pool is not suitable for swimming, more for relaxing and is particularly suitable for children up to the age of 15.

Positive ting
The location on the river
Negative ting
WLAN free of charge but completely overloaded from 8:00 in the morning
Great river especially for children....
.... Whether it was the stones for jumping, catching fish, looking for secret spots on the bank, a bit of paddling (you don't get far) - the Gardon was the most beautiful and exciting playground for our daughter! The older ones can lie on the shore (coarse gravel!), swim (the river is dammed up at the... site - but this dam fell victim to the masses of water during our vacation), of course also build dams, fish, jump.... The site offers large, almost entirely shady pitches (which can be gloomy when it rains), clean sanitary facilities, a small pool area for parents with small children, a restaurant (food okay, nothing special) and a tiny store for breakfast baguettes. The rest can be bought outside, just a few minutes away by car or bike. Anduze is a 20-minute walk away - and apart from the last stretch along the road, the path through the fields is also quite nice - and the little town is very cute with the narrow-gauge railroad as its biggest attraction. The bamboo garden is definitely worth a visit, as are the numerous caves. If you really want to see something, you have to drive a lot - but you can easily spend a lazy and relaxing vacation here. Guests during our stay: mainly Dutch and Belgians. A word about keeping it quiet: yes, it is quiet (and for me an absolute prerequisite for a relaxing vacation) - but we were right next to the restaurant, and by the time everything was cleared away and the music turned off, it could be just before 11pm... But from 11pm onwards it was really quiet.

The site is in a secluded location elevated above the small river Gardon. The pitches are all quite large and partly shady. There is a small supermarket and a restaurant (mainly pizza) in the center of the site. The main attraction is the rocky landscape on the dammed river: the brave can jump from the... rocks into the water, we just swam and lots of children can play, splash around, build dams etc., all very tranquil. There is also a heated pool, partly even in the room, but it is so small and shallow, it is only for children; there is also the "children's fun zone", in the low season quite quiet animation for them, but the children were happy and tired. You can walk or cycle to Anduze with its stores and restaurants via a side street. We were there at the end of August, still quite expensive due to the season, but the campsite was only sparsely occupied and we had plenty of choice.
