Everyone was in a great mood and not just our family. Rarely have we had so many nice camping neighbors.
Plenty of space on the pitches and reservations for the next 2 years are obligatory because of the feel-good moments!

A very quiet site, beautifully situated and a very friendly welcome. The sanitary facilities are good and very clean. The food in the restaurant is also to be recommended.

The jet of the showers could be a little stronger. With long hair it is difficult to get the foam out and to wash completely in the allotted time.
Nice short vacation
Our Whitsun weekend with two caravans was a nice one. When we booked, they even made sure that we got contiguous pitches. They called us specially for this. Top service! Nice people!

5 stars are clearly not enough!
A very well thought-out campsite with a very warm welcome at reception by Sabrina! The sanitary facilities are always clean and up to date. Even the little things are taken care of, such as a magnifying mirror in the ladies' washroom and a lowered washbasin for children. A wonderful place for nature... lovers to relax and unwind. Nideggen Castle is within sight and the direct proximity to the River Rur also gives you that "I want to stay here" feeling.
The campsite operators are very friendly and always have an open ear for questions or requests. They like to be in contact with their campers, which makes the stay a bit familiar.
We felt very, very comfortable here and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Very nice, relaxing campsite
The staff are very nice and always friendly. The site managers are very close to the campers and always there for a chat. The campsite is very beautiful with the Ruhr and nature. You can relax and unwind there. The wash houses were always clean and modern. The small store also had a lot to offer and... the selection of bread rolls was good. The food in the restaurant on site was very tasty and the price was right. We will definitely come back again.

Very nice campsite in the Alps
I don't regularly visit campsites, but I have been to a few in the last few years. I particularly liked this one because of the friendly operator, who showed and explained everything. The site is very diverse, close to nature and very well equipped. The sanitary facilities were the best I've ever seen... on a campsite. We went hiking and visited the castle and ate there as well as in the restaurant on the campsite. There were also great events and a barbecue area which we used. I was able to drive my car onto my pitch, pitch my tent next to it and had an electricity connection. Despite the thunderstorm on Saturday and during the night, all the paths were usable.

We hebben hier 3 nachten gestaan en het was goed. Vriendelijke ontvangst, keuze uit genoeg plaatsen. Het sanitair is schoon en netjes. We hebben nog in het restaurant gegeten en ook dat was prima, meer dan genoeg voor een goede prijs. De omgeving nodigt uit tot wandelen en de Burgt boven op de berg was het bezoeken zeker waar.

Approach somewhat complicated Gruch in the evening in the sanitary facilities. The normal pitches are a bit small.

The short stay was again very relaxing. We always stay here to visit relatives and relax on the site. Although we had forgotten our power cable for the caravan, we were immediately given a replacement to borrow.

We made exactly the right choice by choosing a Rurplatz. The sanitary facilities were super clean and were cleaned several times a day.
There was a very clean scullery as well as a dog shower and a sink for chemical toilets. We will definitely be back.

A dream re-entry
After a long time, we started camping again. We chose this campsite on the Rur. And the choice was absolutely perfect. Great location on the Rur, but the decisive factor for our great impression was the super friendliness of the whole team and their helpfulness with questions (as newcomers 😉). Everything went really well, including our dinner in the restaurant on the campsite.
We booked again straight away.
All in all: highly recommended.

Mooi prima verzorgde camping rustig in het groen aan het riviertje de Ruhr. Je kunt er mooie wandelingen maken of fietsen. Het heeft een prima restaurant en het personeel is supervriendelijk en een aantal spreken zelfs Nederlands. Wij proberen onze camperreizen hier altijd te starten or eindigen

Beautiful location on the Rur overlooking the castle surrounded by lots of greenery and forest. Friendly staff. Clean sanitary facilities and provision for the disabled. Restaurant on site.

We had a great meadow pitch on which we were able to set up a beautiful wagon fortress so that we could enjoy two sunny days. The two additional mobile homes right next to our meadow were great. The fire bowl that was offered to us - including wood for a donation to the coffee fund - was worth its weight in gold, as it did get quite cold in the evening. All in all, it was a great weekend - we'd love to come again!

Nothing really, just a little tip, a microwave in the cottage would be good for quick small meals.
Simply perfect!
We had a perfect short vacation with our dog, the restaurant Hetzinger Stüffgen is also highly recommended, fast service, great food and everything is within the price range. The campsite itself is very clean, you are greeted in a friendly manner and everyone is very competent and friendly if you have any questions. All in all, the perfect vacation.

One of the best campsites.
An excellent campsite. Very nice operators and super friendly staff. The pitches are very well maintained and large, especially the pitches on the Rur. Toilet facilities were also very well maintained and modern. Then the Hetzinger Stüffgen, very tasty food and very friendly service. We would love to come back.

The site is very tidy, the facility itself is in good condition, there are many permanent campers who are always friendly towards you. The operators are also on an equal footing and are there to help and advise you if you have any problems.

However, there are places that are quite difficult to access and are somewhat "narrower". Therefore, driving out also involves more maneuvering.
Short stay, but still had a great time
Whether you are planning a long or short stay, the campsite is in a good location. Dog-friendly, as you can walk your dog in the shade directly on the riverbank and cool off in the river. You should know that during the day about every 30-45 minutes the train comes honking by (there is a railroad crossing at the campsite)

Otherwise very idyllic and highly recommended
