Let me say that pigeons are a major problem in many cities around the world. Here it was right on the edge of what was reasonable. In over 40 years of camping, we have never had to clean our car and camper van in a car wash after a good week's camping. Not to forget the noise from the animals.... Technically, this site is the most modern we have ever had. The question remains whether the WLAN is sufficient for stable TV reception.

Highly recommended!We are so enthusiastic about the whole place, from the staff at the reception to the cleanliness in both sanitary buildings and the offer of bike rental and sauna or the large room for children to play, table football, table tennis etc.. An extra place for dogs. Bread rolls, sooo delicious and fresh... every day, very easy to order! The restaurant offers a small selection but more than delicious! Daily dish changes, highly recommended! Great ambience! Very nice staff here too!
The site is right on the dyke, perfect for cycling tours to neighboring towns like Greetsiel or Emden, for example. The whole place is really well maintained! And finally, we find it impossible that some guests get upset about pigeons and their droppings, here is pure nature! If you don't like it, you'd better stay at home! What can the operator do about it? It didn't bother us! On the contrary, waking up in the morning to the cooing of pigeons or the twittering of birds is as relaxing as it gets. We recommend you and will definitely be back!

We found the shoe change rule with the associated shoe rack positive. So you can go into the shower with clean slippers and the showers are also cleaner.
No midday rest is also... very positive, so you don't have to worry about whether you're arriving at the campsite by car when you go on excursions or shopping.
The license plate recognition at the barrier is also very good.
The sauna area is small but nice.
All extras, such as bike rental, bread rolls or small purchases in the store, can be booked on the pitch numbers and then paid with the total bill. We also found this very positive.

First of all, the positive aspects: The site is spacious and in a quiet location. There are numerous activities for children and adults can also relax in the sauna, for example. The sanitary facilities are clean, but very busy when fully occupied.NegatīvaisNow to the less pleasant topics: As we had not completed the online check-in, the barrier remained closed. It was only after our fourth complaint that we were informed that this would have been necessary - earlier information would have saved us a lot of trouble. Another problem concerns the cleaning of the shower blocks: both are cleaned at the same time at 8:00/8:30 in the morning, so that they cannot be used during this time. Staggered cleaning would have been much more customer-friendly. The bread roll service is also not well organized. At busy times, it can take a while to receive your order, as only one person is responsible for serving it - you should be patient here. Another problem is the WLAN. When the place is full, it is practically unusable. Although you can log in, there is hardly any internet connection, and when there is, it often cuts out. The connection improves slightly when it is less busy - it is then at least sufficient for simple research, but is still far from stable or fast. The lack of goodwill was particularly disappointing. Although we had to cut short our originally planned eight-day stay after five days for family reasons, we were unable to get a price concession - we had to pay the full amount.Absolutely no goodwillTwo helpful tips for future guests:
A few years ago, we stayed at the nearby "Nordsee-Camp Norddeich" campsite. At that time the weather was very bad, but we were able to cancel the rest of our stay 100% free of charge after two nights. The negative points mentioned here didn't occur there either -... it's a shame that we didn't choose this campsite.
If you do decide to stay at "Camping am Deich Nordsee", it is advisable to choose a pitch with sufficient distance to dense tree cover.
