Quiet place near the border
The campsite is in a nice quiet location at the end of an island on the Rhine. The staff are nice when they are there. The pitches are overgrown with young grass and separated by high hedges. The numerous tall trees are great for the climate and shade, which of course limits satellite reception to a... few pitches. The pitches are sufficiently large and level, the paths and quality of the sanitary facilities, water and electricity are OK. WLAN available. Sanitary facilities are always clean, the pitches are well maintained, the grass on the pitches could be mowed from time to time. I have read in other reviews it would be disturbed by cobwebs in the sanitary building. These are at a height of 4-5m in the pointed roof at the exhaust air windows, where the animals do an excellent job in my opinion. Everything is clean downstairs, it is cleaned several times a day.
Now my criticism:
The campsite is quietly located at the end of an island on the Rhine. This is unfavorable because the advertised bar and restaurant (in unity) are probably only open at weekends. The camping store, which should also offer fresh bread, is probably closed in the low season, at least for the time being. So every time you want to go out for a meal or get fresh bread or other snacks, you have to drive from the island (France) to Germany to do your shopping there. It's only a few kilometers, but it's time-consuming.
WHAT is cheeky in my opinion is that they advertise with equipment that is only offered if it is economical. Yes, it is currently quite empty here, the daily opening of the bar / restaurant is not economical, but at least fresh bread could be offered by the campsite management. The advertised swimming pool was also not open.
The games room could also be better maintained. There is a pool table where the cloth is so tattered (old, sewn tears and a fresh, gaping angle tear) that it is impossible to use it sensibly.

Top lighting without it being too bright

So everything is great, we will definitely come back for a short vacation

A great natural place
We spent a few days on this site over Whitsun. We were able to choose our pitch from many. Shady, sunny, larger smaller, everything was possible. The pitches are divided into lots and separated by bushes, the electricity connection is close by. Very friendly reception staff, clean sanitary facilities and a peaceful setting almost on the Rhine made the days go by too quickly. A campsite that can really be recommended.

Plenty of space even in high season, as people avoid the campsite.

Unkempt pitch, branches lying on the ground and not cleared away, lawn not mowed (where there is still grass).
Not recommended at all
Very unkempt place that in no way deserves such a rating. We will avoid this place in the future and certainly not recommend it to others!

The campsite and its managers
don't go
Campsite without any interest the personnel is bad the managers confuse to manage a camp-site and to be civil servant no animation the camp-site is dead without environment for example they do not like the foot therefore no diffusion of the matches of the world cup. The facilities are not up to date, e.g. ping pong table with no net and a charge. During my stay, 4 families left before the end of their stay.

Ascension Day 2018 visit
We had registered in April with 40 people.During 2 days we had only cold to lukewarm water.After complaints there was hot water.Toilet paper was also in short supply. Although we had asked several times, the catering of 40 guests with the same menu in the restaurant would not have been a problem, but... the result was catastrophic: The fried potatoes were partly cold and undercooked and the service was overwhelmed. The place made an unkempt impression and we will avoid it in the future

Perspective available
We stayed on the site for 4 days. Pitches are marked out with rows of bushes. Connections still with Schuko sockets, water on site. Sanitary clean, but poorly maintained. Showers only had dripping water, except for the disabled shower and family shower. Hooks in the cabins mostly missing. Overall, the... place has a lot of potential, which should be used. Location is good, you are quickly in the surrounding towns and in the Baden wine cellar. Definitely go there.

Nice, quiet and lots of space
Found the site by chance, great place with beautiful and spacious pitches. All with electricity, water and drainage. The sanitary facilities are clean, but unfortunately the water is not very warm. But everything else makes up for this small shortcoming. We will be back.

With a little gardening and minor improvements to the sanitary facilities (paper and soap), the site could become an insider tip.
Island camping on the Rhine
Friendly and helpful reception, also in German. Pitches partly shaded in different sizes. Connections for electricity (French plug), water and waste water are grouped together for 4 to 6 pitches. Three sanitary blocks are spread across the site. The sanitary facilities are somewhat carelessly equipped... with a lack of shelves and hooks. Only the disabled and toddler facilities with toilet, washbasin and shower are spacious. There is no paper or soap. The site itself is centrally located between the Rhine and the canal. Party boats are clearly audible towards the evening. Otherwise, there is a lack of floral decorations to create a vacation atmosphere. The beds laid out for this purpose contain weeds and unkempt bushes. To our surprise, there were no mosquitoes at all in July. As we really liked Breisach and the surrounding area, we will definitely be back. We paid €18.44 per night for 2 people including electricity.

Beautifully situated, pleasant place
I was there with my bike and tent. Friendly welcome. As it was low season and quiet, I was able to choose one of the spacious pitches, which were separated by hedges. Clean sanitary facilities. Practical location opposite Breisach. I felt at home.
