Large shady areas with lots of greenery and a great large, coarse sandy beach. It's easy to get into the water here and children can also play well here. The taverna on the campsite has excellent food at reasonable prices. The beach bar serves delicious drinks and snacks. A small store stocks all the essentials for campers. We have been coming here every May for years and enjoy the peace, nature and the sea.

If you want to go to the village or the market, you need a car or bike. This is the disadvantage of the quiet location.
Original camping in the great outdoors
For us, this is simply "the traditional green campsite" right by the sea with a great beach and good Greek food. Very friendly and helpful staff, who also keep everything clean and in good condition. For us it is always pure relaxation here.

Grocery shop is poor and everything is expensive
I really liked it
A very good place to enjoy the tranquillity, the sun and the blue sea.
Big beach, you can walk to the side where you will find nothing at all.
The price is low , the only problem with the shop and food , there is a bar , a cafe .
But for food you have to cycle 2km to the town or walk along the beach 500m to the next campsite where there is a much bigger range of food.

And in any case it's a great place to park, all in the shade under the trees.

Wonderfully quiet, nice beach bar, large plots, very beautiful flowers everywhere. Restaurant is okay.
Negatīvais
The mini market offers VERY little, which is a shame. At the neighboring place you have much more choice of food and things you need. The older lady at reception is very friendly, depending on the day, if you have a bad day, but also very unfriendly to stroppy.
Highly recommended for people looking for peace and quiet
Beautiful ambience, also because of the many flowers. The design of the vacation apartments and the beach bar blend in well with the landscape.
Large plots.
Here you will find peace and quiet, no noisy entertainment or similar.
Not ideal for small children because the beach slopes quickly and is only... fine sand in small places, otherwise coarse-grained sand.
Shopping in the mini market really only MINI! 👎
Everything very clean. Showers in order and working well. Friendliness at reception varied greatly, depending on the lady's mood on the day.
Unfortunately, you can't rent parasols or sun loungers if required.

Restaurant, bar, beautiful beach, clean sanitary facilities

somewhat gloomy places, almost no trash cans (not even in toilets), receptionist somewhat moody-rabid, quite far away from the main traffic axis, quite loud at midnight as the whole kitchen crew is off work
Beautiful camping
In itself a beautiful CP which offers a cool, almost Caribbean beach. The beach bar is great with small snacks and top cocktails. The restaurant has a large selection and is of good quality.

The beach was rocky to coarse sand (but there were lovely sandy beaches nearby)
Very satisfied
We stayed at this beautiful campsite for a few days in September 2019 and were very satisfied. Beautiful, leafy campsite with beautiful flowering shrubs and trees, spacious pitches, competent and very helpful management and friendly staff, great restaurant with delicious and inexpensive food, clean sanitary... facilities, very close to the beach, very quiet in the evening, overall a pleasant atmosphere that contributed greatly to relaxation. Fresh bread and rolls in the morning, small supermarket, nice bar. Well located for excursions to Olympus, markets etc.! A wonderful sandy beach 5 minutes away by car with mainly local bathers. We will certainly be back!

The place is very quiet. Beach ok. The taverna is highly recommended. Shady spots. Shop beforehand as the nearest supermarket is a long way away. Recommended for anyone looking for peace and quiet.

Again and again
We were there for the first time about 30 years ago, then almost every year (unfortunately) in recent years only twice.
I was there alone in 2019. Each time we were warmly welcomed and Angeliki remembers almost all the family stories :-)
We always liked the place, solutions were found for all eventualities... (almost always by Angelika). The best times were in the early and late season.
Ending the day in the restaurant in the evening (with original cuisine) or in the beach bar - a dream for me.
In the morning there was fresh bread and pastries in the "supermarket", where you can buy the essentials. For larger purchases you just have to go to Vartholomio, and for even larger ones to Amaliada or Pirgos - all within driving distance.
Thank you Αγγελική and Γεώργιος for always great times.

One of the very good places in the Peloponnese
We visited most of the campsites in the Peloponnese over a period of 3 months, including this one. 90% of all campsites are totally outdated and exude the ramshackle charm of the 60s or 70s. But there are notable exceptions in the far south and here opposite the island of Zakynthos. To be honest, we... didn't even want to go to this place because one reviewer said that he was a little put off by the many German signs. Well, there are, but this has nothing to do with "original German order" or clubbiness, but rather with the German language, which both staff and most customers speak. It is therefore an indicator of an increasing formation of homogeneous ghettos and if you are looking for connections and camper friends, you are certainly well advised to stay here. The Greek campsite is very well organized with lovely staff and a resolute, gnarled Greek boss who manages the beach bar and taverna well; the site is clean, has quite good sanitary facilities (albeit mixed and somewhat inadequate) and a spacious area where you can avoid the crowds. A very nice beach, nice rental bungalows, plenty of shade and a good ambience with a few original rocks and tinkered scrap caravans. The only place that we could give 5 stars almost everywhere. This is probably also due to the strong competition next door with the super CP Ionian Beach! Particularly worth mentioning is the "healthy" atmosphere: during our stay there were no inappropriate show-off camper vans with stiff snobs (they are next door), few beer-bellied tourists and hardly any screaming families. There are also some really great campers here who make you regret having to move on again! My tips: Shopping at LIDL in Amaliada, visiting the tavernas in the villages before Aginara - all are recommended! Great taverna recommendation: DOUGAS, 2.5 km further on - sensational and good German-speaking service - if you would like more information, please send me an e-mail!

Quiet, cozy campsite with a great beach and clear water.
Simply a beautiful campsite!
We have been coming to this place for over 20 years and always feel at home! The restaurant is great! They still cook real Greek food and you don't get tourist food. The welcome is warm. Most of the pitches are shady and spacious. The sanitary facilities have been partially renovated and the mini market has also been improved. The sanitary facilities are basic, but are cleaned 2-3 times a day. The sunset at the beach bar is unbeatable.

Quiet campsite with a beautiful beach suitable for a quiet holiday. We stayed in June 2017 and it is one of the nicest and quietest campsites in Greece. Toilets fine, hot water all the time and clean. Price in June 15 ecus.

Has something special
Aginara Beach has something special, on the one hand because of the blooming "wilderness" and on the other because of the operators, especially Angelika. A very relaxing place without the hustle and bustle... with a great beach where everyone can have their 50m. A taverna without the fuss with honest Greek cuisine. One of a kind! Some people like it, others don't, they can go next door!
