"Short weekend, maximum recovery - We booked spontaneously and spent the long weekend here. After a slight irritation on arrival (we just drove onto the site... unfortunately the wrong side :)) we were able to practise towing a caravan again. After we had set up, the recovery phase began relatively quickly. Exactly what we were looking for. The site was very quiet and our youngest quickly found someone to play with by the lake. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back!

"We have recovered very well! - The campsite is divided into two halves, the "old" part consists of the areas for permanent campers, mobile homes and the tourist area. In this part there is a nice little store with daily fresh bread rolls and tasty snacks, a restaurant and a club room. There are two sanitary areas here: a small area in the reception building and a larger sanitary building in the fixed camper area. The "new" part is located at and around the bathing lake and the pony meadow. This is where the comfort pitches with their own sanitary facilities and a large unparceled tent meadow are located. There are two smaller sanitary blocks. We were in the "old" part "by the forest". The trees have been cut back so that you don't have to worry about falling branches, so it was sunny enough for a coffee in a deckchair :-) The ground is very sandy and secured with thin plastic nets, so there should be no muddy mess when it rains. The WiFi reception (teenager judgment) was sufficient for the occasional SnapChatTikTokInsta post and with one free hour a day (or €5 for 7 days) quite okay. However, two minor shortcomings prevented us from scoring full points. The sanitary facilities in the "old part" can still be described as modern and are perfectly fine. When the pitches are full over the holidays, it can get a bit cramped. The lack of a building in the "new" part is noticeable. Due to the high occupancy rate, the cleanliness was just okay. The second point is the term "pitch with water and waste water" - we were in a square pitch, the supply column was at the outermost point, so we couldn't use the supply or waste water properly - especially as the pitch had a slight incline towards the column. Another supply column would do this site good, it would save us having to carry canisters :-) Apart from these little things: everything was great, thanks for the relaxing days, we'll be back!

"Weekend with the whole family - On the occasion of a family celebration, we were guests at the Eichenhof campsite with our whole family on a weekend in August 2021. The booking of the vacation homes and pitches went very smoothly. The arrangements made in advance regarding accommodation as well as breakfast and dinner at the Gasthof Eichenhof were implemented to our complete satisfaction. The accommodation was clean and well equipped, and the garden with garden shed rounded off the whole experience. The breakfast buffet and dinner left nothing to be desired. open. Many thanks to the whole team. Looking back, it was a successful family reunion for all of us. This place can definitely be recommended. Dieter and Ursula

"Quiet place with a beautiful lake - Children have their freedom and fun here. Parents can let their children play without worrying. Not directly on the lake, of course. The first brave ones are already swimming in the water in the morning. However, the sanitary facilities are inadequate. Too few, no showers or washroom. You always have to walk to the main square to wash yourself. The cleaning of the toilets also leaves a lot to be desired. Of course the lake, or rather camping by the lake, is awesome. We would come again if the sanitary facilities were brought up to a simple standard. At the moment you have to queue all the time because campers also use the toilet for washing. But there is only one toilet per side of the lake....

"By no means worth the stars awarded - Unfortunately, the long-promised sanitary facilities at the new site are still missing. Reception rarely really friendly, rather Münsterland-Bollerig. The restaurant is mega recommendable, you can hardly believe the organization that otherwise prevails there (or not). The bathrooms/toilets are cleaned very quickly. Garbage cans very sparsely distributed. Many dogs are not kept on a lead by the tourist campers, but nobody cares. In general, no one checks the pitches, neither permanent nor seasonal, nor tourists for cleanliness or whether they are maintained. Some permanent pitches are really shabby. We had the bad luck that NOTHING was offered in terms of entertainment because of Corona, other pitches were really faster that year. We might come back to visit again, but nothing more. We had hoped for a permanent pitch there, but after 6 months of seasonal pitches we're glad we didn't get one. We'd rather go on vacation at "real" 5-star campsites again.

"On the whole a nice CP - Missing sanitary building at the "Badesee" site, due to open in 2019. Therefore further way to the old sanitary house, which urgently needs to be renovated. Drain often overflows and only two showers for the ladies. Or considerably further to the permanent campers in the new great sanitary building with enough showers, everything is great. Only one ladies' or men's toilet by the bathing lake on the side where most of the other bathers are. So during the day totally overcrowded and sandy, toilet paper usually runs out early. Restaurant delicious food, but too expensive. Kiosk/roll store too rarely open.

We, the Schulze Westhoff family, are delighted to welcome you to our lovingly managed campsite. Our farmstead, with a history of more than …300 years, lies nestled within the wide heathlands and natural park landscape of the Münsterland region – far from roads and hustle, directly between the Feldmark bathing lake and the “Füchtorfer Moor” nature reserve. The surrounding area offers well-developed cycling paths and a practical node network, inviting you to enjoy relaxed bike rides, walks, and peaceful nature exploration. Couples, families, and those seeking quiet moments will all find a place to breathe here. A special highlight of our campsite is our private natural swimming lake, exclusively for our guests. Its natural setting, generous sunbathing areas, and peaceful atmosphere make it ideal for relaxing by the water. In addition, the larger Feldmark bathing lake is just a short walk away. New to the site is our modern sanitary building (opens beginning 2026), designed to be spacious, bright, and accessible. Alongside family and children's bathrooms, we also offer private rental bathrooms for even more comfort and privacy. Our pitches are thoughtfully arranged and equipped with water, sewage, 16A electricity, and TV connection. Families particularly appreciate the pitches near the playground, where children can be easily supervised. For guests who prefer a home-like comfort, we also offer cosy holiday cottages. And for good food and relaxed moments, our restaurant with beer garden awaits you – offering regional dishes, seasonal meals, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. There is much to discover here at Eichenhof – in nature, on the site, and with us as your host family. We look forward to welcoming you.
